Nobody joins...
I have since started playing, had a single lone co-operator while playing this game. Where is the multiplayer at??

Probably at Master Rank. You're probably not gonna see much people until you get there, or join some communities on Discord or something to find people to play with.

Edit: I should note that being on MR might still mean you do the whole quest without anyone joining. I've done 2 quests today where people joined right at the end.

Join other peoples lobbies of similar HR and make friends. Do round robin questing. Idk I've been taking my sweet time (156 ingame hours, hr 50) and have had tons of successful lobbies. I would say half of those are due to inviting people I've befriended from their lobbies.

Don't listen to people who say "They're all in MR". It's really discouraging and just isn't true.

what is your steam download region? matchmaking is based on that, maybe change it to a more central place near you.

try switching your download region to Japan or US

You should try to the better matchmaking mod on nexusmods. It allows you to matchmake with anyone no matter your download region.

It also disables the timeout for searching for quest session.

Note: This is only for searching for join requests on the quest board.

Change your steam's download region to Japan or Saudi Arabia, works great for me

it is one con of these tiny 4p sessions, which normally means this is only an one hunting crew and no room for beginners or people seeking for help

the sessions can be started at the courier cat, you can try to setup your own with something like beginners welcome or you join someone with this post and willing to help with quests.

village quest of hinoa are also sp only, mp starts at minoa in the gathering hall
