Would you buy a PC release of generations ultimate?
Like if it was 30$ and came out after the final content update for Sun-break as a in between game while we wait for the next game.

whats that got to do with what I said lol?
you said the old games are fun. And i responded with a scenario that isnt
4u's rusted kushala fight has nothing to do with Dos or P3rd. reread my comment.
For those of you saying emulating doesn't have multiplayer, you can use Citra. MHXX is essentially Monster Hunter GU except on 3DS. There's an english patch and if you download the HD texture pack it actually looks better than the Switch version. Of course you'll need a decent PC for all that jazz.
constant loading screens between map transitions are unbearable even on the switch. If they release generations ultimate on PC it would be a straight up cash grab if all they did was a straight port. Nostalgia googles cloud judgement. I can't stand the lack of quality of life improvements in that game compared to present monster hunter games on steam.

Edit: english

Who would say no?
And tbh, id rather buy a pc release of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite title. That title brought to me so many memories.

I imagine a SSD would basically remove all load times.

Have you played it on the switch? a single map is made of 10+ zones and to enter each zone its another bloody loading screen. Doesn't matter how fast the SSD is if you still have to see a loading screen every few seconds you need to move zones.
Yes, but they'd need to rework how online works to better fit PC, people aren't going to like the old weird ways lol.
Best we got is emulating it to get that fancy 60fps opposed to the underpowered switch.

If I could rope in my friends, then yes. If not then no thanks since I have already spent over 1k hours with the game by my lonesome.

An easy fix would be to have a "Scout" type Palico. It'll be weaker than the other ones
Prowlers are already the weakest class in GU by far (as in the only way they can actually compete with proper hunters is by cheesing certain fights like Ahtal Ka with ranged attacks, and even then they can just barely reach clear times on par with the blademaster weapons that can't cheese those fights), so that scout type would suck ass unless they rebalanced the cats (like they should. They are fun to play as, even if they are suitable only for handicapping yourself). Luckily on PC you can just mod most games (including both MH titles on Steam) if you dislike the default balance (though as that is still cheating please stay away from public games if you do tweak your games)

Knowing where the monster is only really matters the first time you play a map.
After that it becomes a useless skill.
They always spawn in the same place and you can usually wawe at the ballon in the sky to instantly find the monster.
Or just use that one potion that also just shows the monsters location.

Note that the balloon is not always there, and is a single use one. But yeah, it's not hard to learn a monster's spawn location and its movement patterns. I can still remember most of them by heart despite not having played the game in a while.

A regular cheapo SATA III SSD supports 6GB/s read speeds, so it's a pretty major upgrade compared to the Switch's internal eMMC storage's 400MB/s read speed. So I assume you'd be correct. Theoretically a 4 second loading screen (area transfers in GU on Switch load slightly faster than that) should last for only around 0.27s on an SSD.

IMO the old system is better for playing with randoms than the new one, where you just join randoms for a single hunt instead of doing multiple hunts with the same people. Of course when playing with friends you can still do it the old way.
As for hub HP scaling being fixed for 4 players in titles prior to World, it's not much of an issue. Well, the really hard quests can take over 30 minutes to solo, but normal quests are still doable in 10-15 minutes even if you aren't a god.
I would just like an HD port of 3U and 4U tbh
I would buy GenU again on PC though
Probably not. Maybe for 20 or under. I'd rather have some other older MH game like 3U or 4U. Even if 3U's intro is as torturous as it is, I think I'd still take it over Gen.
I imagine it would lead to some issues if they didnt cap the frame rate. even emulator for it is capped at 60 because any higher and things just dont work

No, because I already bought Generations Ultimate on Switch.
I probably would since playing it on the Ryujinx emulator. Loved MHGU
