Some of us don't like it as well, I don't like how heavy armours look and I want to see the character I spent a good time creating.
I like making cute outfits and don't care if they don't look like they can "protect" my character. it's a game, the only important thing is the defence number. You run up walls in this game, don't talk about realism.

Thankfully layered armour exist because every single new MR armour sucks, the only ones I use as layered are NPC/special armours.
When I play FS games I always use some very light armour because anything heavy looks incredibly silly. I finished Elden Ring using mostly the Roderika set running around with -40 % damage redution and taking 5x more damage than the average Elden Ring player.

Even in Witcher 3 I mostly used the white shirt.
I honestly enjoy every kind of set in Sunbreak. Most of them are more or less fine for female. imo But as I mentioned in my follow up, I LOVE the ability to create new fashion out of mixing armors. It's the best feature they added back in MHGU.

I dont mind if they're overly too feminine or more masculine like for females.
I'm just here to hav a good time while looking good either sexy, cute, badass or menacing, etc.

Also my original point is more on ppl complaining about female armor designs being a lil too much on being feminine. (face open, thigh windows, midriff showing, etc.) But thankfully its just the minority tht dont like it. Which I also find it amusing tht it comes across like they dont like feminine designs in MH and want most females to b masculine. So they dont like women being feminine, while under the guise of "realism" as one of their main points of argument. Like ??? this is MH, even more so FANTASY, doesnt matter if the armor doesnt make complete sense in the real world. lol (If they want to use "realism" then most male armor designs are very unrealistic and overly bulky to b any kind of effective in the environments and monsters they hunt. Increased exhaustion, movement being very limited so u get ur ass killed alot more easily, etc.)

So many fancy ways of saying I wanna be turned on by a video game.

I mean, literally nobody has said anything that is even remotely close to what you just said here. Who said "I want most females to b masculine and bulky, because I just hate feminine designs"?

Have you by any chance heard of the strawman fallacy?
Bc I was generalizing and using my point found on forums or social media, hence the "minority" since its just an echo chamber of ppl airing their grievances.
Not about OPs original point, even though ppl decide to twist it into meaning "I want females to look over sexual"??? Now thts a strawman fallacy. And also wht brought me into bringing up this point bc of them.

"I want most females to b masculine and bulky"
Most of the minority hav said it in some form or fashion. Not as direct of statement as ur making it out to be, like it needs to b stated as direct as possible. Reason u read and ask ppl their arguments.
"I hate feminine designs"
Its how it comes across since its never mentioned in nearly all arguments I hav read tht it wasnt the intention. Even more so the fact they jump to conclude it means "sexualizing" when ppl ask for more feminine designs.

Asking for a design based upon a gender bias is Sexualization. Full stop.

Hunters are not your normal humans. Look at how they can fall any length and be completely unaffected by the fall every one of them is the same down time. Something aint normal. Let alone the physics of the weapons they use.

Yeah... a normal human even if they were a bodybuilder would have a tough time lifting a GS. They would probably break their back trying, especially if we're talking the heavier ones. Hunters are also able to take way more punishment than any normal human. You can't compare a a normal guy to a hunter, because no normal guy would be able to even survive a Rajang going "puny god" on them, while a hunter might actually live through it.

I like a lot of Iceborne female sets
Both Anajanth beta sets look great, the same with Odogaron, Velkhana, Blackveil, Namielle (this one is REALLY good imo), both Kulve taroth sets, Savage Jho, they even managed to fix teostra (the beta set looks really good).

I remember the 1st time I played Iceborne I used odogaron alpha helmet, beta chest, arms and coil and coral pukei legs just because I liked how it looked. I was that stubborn and refused to use a mod to make a layered set.

Sunbreak?? All bulky armour apart from iceborne copy/paste (like tobi or pukei) and npc sets like I said.

At least I can actually hunt with the Guildmarm layered set, it is impractical in 4U with the skills it has and there was no layered armour in that game. That's why this thread doesn't make sense anymore. Layered armour sets should exist in every single game.
well, yeah, Odogaron doesn't exist in this game, neither do Velkhana or the other monsters you mentioned, so ofc those armor sets aren't in the game, but I feel like you're ignoring what you've got here.

I don't really get your problem with Sunbreak.. you've got new cool looking sets from returning ones, or new ones, like the Barbania, Snowshear, Gore Magala, follower sets, even some MR redesigns for Rise's monsters look great.
You ever checked the Spio X? Goss Harag X, Gore Magala, or either of the Almudron sets. You also got a much better deal with Garangolm's set, you also have a nice satyr looking helm from Shogun Ceanataur that I'm more than a little envious about.

If you've got sets that suck, the only reasons I'm seeing is because of the usual problems, face revealed, massive crater holes in the crotch area, or going way overboard with feminizing armor that doesn't fit that look.. Like the Lunagaron, Astalos, or Malzeno sets.
As long as they don't change those things about their female armor design team, I don't feel like anything will improve and good looking sets will depend on the monsters you've got in the game.

You entire missed my point when I talked about IB armours, not sure if on purpose because you were the one who brought it to the conversation

That's what I was talking about, the "don't" was my mistake. A lot of people, men and women, hate female light armour/clothing and I was gonna say "some of us women like it" don't know what happened there:lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Capcom were getting criticism after criticism whenever people could see a bit of female skin on twitter since the base game, the result was atrocious armour sets that everyone "liked" it but never use online, kinda funny isn't it?
It's much better to run around looking like Fiorayne, Luchika, Rondine or whatever normal looking thing you can make with layered armour than those grotesque full armours that you can't even see your character and can't combine with anything.

One thing I'd like is every single female helmet as a new hairstyle instead of actual helmets. There isn't a lot of those

I really think the female armors in Rise are pretty decent. I think they're undermined by the fact that female characters walk around like Fred Flintstone.

if you need a refresher about why people think OP is referring to over-sexualized female armor, he said that he's so confused by the female body in this game, that he was forced to resort to the modding scene to fix that and considering that's a big thing on Nexus mods? It's quite cut and dry, really. One small visit to Nexus's MHR page shows the popular and more recent mods and what a lot of them are all about.

Also, I have nothing against those mods, I don't think anyone here does, I'm only laughing at OP for being really funny and for barely disguising his thirst for the female skimp and nudes in a post being outraged about how little of it is in game. I guess that's at least commendable, OP wishing to share the sexy mods with everyone else, that's very based of you comrade OP.
If he wants sexual mods then hey more power to him.
But thts only assuming tht the mods he will b goin for and only intention for it.
When he hasnt really explained in detail wht he meant since its kept vague.

If ppl want to b turned on by armors tht already exist within a game, then hey more power to them.
Even fully armored and clothed characters/armors are gonna b featured in someones art or cosplay.

Also I dont get the argument tht asking for more designs based upon a sex is sexualization. Is their sexual designs under male or female designs? yes.
But there is also designs in practicality, beauty, strength, cute, nobility, etc.

If u can make a good argument on how it is sexualization for asking more female armor designs or more male designs, then please tell me. I'm always up to b convinced.

Yea thts wht I find ironic as well. Once the devs give females more bulky/bigger armor, then for some reason u dont see many ppl showing it off online as their preferred full set or fashion made set; despite any "positive feedback".
It's like the minority dont make up more than 5% of ur fanbase.

wait, weren't you all in favor of these sets earlier? I thought we were all on the same page here about liking all these kinds of sets, if they're consistent.

Also, which are these sets that you're talking about? Do you mean sets like Goss Harag X one?

I'm just more saying the ppl tht want less feminine and more masculine armor for females.
and when they DO get wht they want, even if a lil bit of it, u dont really see it being used much online or shown off much anywhere online for female hunters.
So wht is even the point of complaining about thigh windows, midriffs or open helmets, when the devs listen tht nearly everyone just avoids.

What sets are you talking about? You didn't answer this question. Without any examples, all you're doing here is talking a whole lot of nothing.

Well obviously since thts all u really hear from the ppl. They never give examples and when examples ARE given its the preview of the armors shown on social media by official MH accounts. So I cant really give u an example if the ppl tht complain all the time rarely ever give one.

what does this say in english? 'i don't normally see girls wearing covering armour therefore they don't exist'?
