DLSS implementation makes me sad
I usually love DLSS, since its combines superior AA with a nice performance boost and i was really excited when i learned about it's addition to Rise, but unfortunately the way Rise implemented it is on pair with RDR2 winch is one of the worst DLSS uses i saw so far

- Sharpness slider, while i glad it was added, confuses the hell out of me. Default sharpening is too strong, you get artifacts and haloing on moving camera, adding more sharpness fixes artifacts on moving camera by making whole game oversharpen. BUT lowering sharpness slider down ads excessive amount of blur... on camera move, static image is still oversharpen which is very weird and thats not it! By saying "excessive amount of blur" i mean it, even on -0.01 which is like one click from default game becomes extremely blurry, all details are gone, fur on monsters becomes blobby mess its really bad

- Turning on DLSS for some reason removes all types of bloom from a game, which is like, 90% effects in game use, its especially bad on wirebug strings

- While DLSS improves quality of SSR reflections it for some reasons really butchers shadow quality, i have no idea why, i never seen such thing before

I really hope DLSS in this game is just dropped and forgotten like RDR2 and devs actually will come back to it and fix those issues like God of War devs did! I'd also like to see if any of you have some other issues with DLSS so i can provide more info to devs if possible

P.S. My written english is kinda bad, sorry if there any typos!

Did you update your drivers? Nvidia released a new driver for MHR:SB just yesterday I think.

Yes of course, otherwise DLSS wouldn't be available

I honestly didn't see any performance gains from using dlss in this game, so better to just leave it off until they fix it.

LMAO did you expect something special out of this Switch port?

How is Switch responsible for poor DLSS implementation?

Yeah you pretty much gain nothing, I had even worse performance with it enabled.

On my end it's 15-30% less GPU Utilization, i'd take it if not for mentioned issues

Why would one need dlss for this game? It does not have raytracing, so dlss is pointless. You can run this game at 4k on a potatoe and it would hit 60fps constantly.

I play on 90fps (only because game seems to be internally locked in some way to it despite having 120fps option) on 1440p resolution so id like me some better AA with that

I do have a raytracing reshade, and its very heavy. I was hoping dlss would help but nope, its worse.

i have a solid 144fps, so its not locked to 90, might be some random graphics card setting you forgot you set to global?

Then u prolly did something wrong because you indeed get lots of fps gain depending on which setting u use.

I have a 3070 and 3060 laptops and 6800xt pc and for some reason in traversing location it drops from 120 to 90 in between zones, it gets back to 120 once you are in numbered zone and actually it's rock solid even when you fight a monster but those in between drops are really jarring, even VRR does not help with that, no noticable GPU or CPU spikes either, observing in since a PC realease actully but i just locked that game to 90 and that's good enough for me
