Can Monster Hunter Rise be family shared?
It says to purchase the game even though it's under a family shared library. I'm just wondering of monster hunter rise is one of those games that can't be shared.

I've seen google results claiming it can be a shared game but i'm having issues. Thought i'd ask here.

Maybe the regular troll can help you, with them claiming they use Family Share throughout their accounts without issues. If they show up, that is.

You can get a list of games that you own that can't be shared by going to account details > manage family library sharing > then clicking the "Show excluded games" text at the bottom of the page.

Monster Hunter Rise is not on the excluded games list.

If it says purchase that generally means the person you're sharing with is playing something.

Only one person can access the library at a time.

They weren't specifically playing monster hunter rise but they were playing one of their own games from their own library.

Yes.

Only one person can access the library at a time, regardless of what the person is playing.

There ARE ways around it, but, you can't play online when doing it.

The person sharing their library cannot be online playing a game at the time of you wanting to play.

They can put Steam into offline mode (Steam > Go Offline) and play their game, assuming it's not an online-only game, to let you play Rise while they're playing something, but that's up to them.

If they're currently playing a game from my library am I able to access a game from their library at the same time? Since they're two different libraries and they aren't currently using their library?

Because the other person can't be playing anything from their library.
That's how it works.

No.

HOWEVER, if you're okay with not playing online, you can turn off your internet connection while the other library is available then not turn the connection back on until you're done.

Steam won't see the other person using their account, so it won't prevent you from playing.

Would that be the same as playing offline or would I actually have to disconnect my wifi.

Only asking since I normally use discord in the process.

You'd actually have to turn off your wifi.
