Difficulty

I have read this game is easier than say World and the older games. I am struggling really bad with the sunbreak demo though. Is the demo just harder than the full game? Thinking about buying it but would prefer something on the easier side.

I personally find it easier than world. Just as a straight example in my opinion the new vampire elder dragon, and final boss are easier than velkhana and shara ishvalda as a comparison.

Lunagaron feels easier than both variants of odagaron in world.

Still fun though and worth playing

The demos of monster hunter games are generally rather... strangely balanced. Things like the magnamalo fight in the base game demo are substantially harder than they are in the game proper due to capcom essentially giving you low rank gear for a high rank fight.

For as long as I can remember, MH demos were always more difficult then their equivalent fights in the game. In the Sunbreak demo, the Malzeno fight is still one of the hardest fights I've ever done in Rise or Sunbreak.

So yes, the game itself will be much easier, it will only approach this level of difficulty once you get to the late endgame portion or try some of the special quests that are made extra challenging.

Thanks! I think I will try ir out then. In world I only have trouble with Alatreon and Fatalis. In the sunbeam demo I was having trouble with Astalos and the foght after it, I think the vampire dragon was just carting me in two hits

They make the demo harder for every MH game. Rise/Sunbreak are by the far the easiest MH game to date.

i would say easier as far as it goes for me,due the mobility u have in this game like wirebug and palamute u can even use wirebug to recover yoruself from knock down on the spot,the thing is that the monsters also have great mobility,u still need to get use to all the mechanics available that throw at you until u slowly adapt it shouldnn't be harder than world for you,each to their own some would say it's harder than world i personally think rise is easier ver of MH

In demo you don't have any customizations over your gear. I find playing LS in the game a lot easier than in the demo due to the ability to slot quick sheathe 3 and other QoL abilities like EE into the armor XD Not to mention the upgrades so that the defense is higher.

If Alatreon and Fatalis are your walls in World, then you won't have any problems coming to Rise; those monsters are way harder than anything Rise has to throw at you. You should be fine.

let's say for now SB doesn't have any of the black dragons yet,once we get any black dragon that's another story for SB,as of now even tho rise/sb is easier than world itself until the black dragon release it might be different

As someone that didn't start with World, and even went back and played older games after playing through Sunbreak, Rise definitely felt easier than World and it feels easier than MHGU — MHGU being the game I went to after Sunbreak.
There's nothing wrong with it currently being that way; a game doesn't need to be ballbusting hard to have fun.

I didn't say what game I started with, now did I?
I started with 3U on the regular 3DS many years ago.
I literally went 3U > World > Rise > MHGU, I've mentioned this before and I'm pretty sure I even responded in threads you've posted in at least two or three times.

Edit: I'd say 4U after MHGU, but I haven't really gotten into it yet to really say "I played it."
