So have they stopped making the classic Monster Hunter games now?
Is this the way they're making the Monster Hunter games now? Cus I was kinda hoping for a Monster Hunter 5 or MHGU sequel. I'd give my right arm for a MHGU sequel with every single one of the old generation monsters in it and the underwater stuff from Tri.

If they're sticking to making them the way they are now that's cool I'm ok with that. But I was just wondering that's all

As if Tri+ is classic.

What's so classic with MHGU? Those flashy Hunter's Art?

Oh didn't realise that wasn't considered classic. Sorry old timer :(

All series have to go through an evolution or devolution (depending on your pov) over time, so yeah the classic MH style is gone.

Been playing since the first Monster Hunter on PS2. A lot of these people wanting "the classics" are looking back with rose tinted glasses. Don't get me wrong, I spent over 1500 hours on each title in the series that made it to North America; the games are good, but each generation HAS been an improvement upon the last. Maybe with a few missteps like underwater fighting, but I can genuinely say you'll have a much better experience with the newer generations than the older. And I would say World was the first game to massively change the gameplay. And it was a MASSIVE improvement.

My only real qualm is that the games seem to be getting easier, but I can't really tell if it's because hit boxes are becoming more predictable (a good thing), controls are becoming tighter (a good thing), if I'm just good after over a decade of playing them, or if they're actually making the game easier to attract a bigger audience (I think this is a good thing, too).

I've been playing 3U as of recent and as fun as it is, god I miss some of the new QoL changes to World and Rise.

Monhun went mainstream with World, we're never going back to the days where each game came with lots of new mechanics and all of the previous monsters + variants + more. Since this new generation of players never played the older titles they don't know how much is lacking in the newer titles so there won't be enough outcry to outweigh the profits.

Ok I was just wondering.

I have played both rise and world but I thought they were like spin offs or something but i guess its ok the way their making them now.

Do you think they would do a remaster of the older games?

No no he right that is #5 concerning they got five generations in without it going hard downhill I have to say that's impressive but pretty much anything past this generation is going to be downhill now especially since it's more World players than Monster Hunter players now

I completely agree with everything here.

For the difficulty I feel its because there's less "*Bleep* you!" missions like Tri U had having you try to avoid an one hit kill lightning enemy that has insane AoE WHILE UNDERWATER!... Its even the first large underwater monster you see in the game.

Overall quest design is a lot fairer in newer games which effects the difficulty but in a good way.

Did I stutter?
Hopefully they'll never go back to the old formulas.
