Even the hardest difficulty stuff exists so you can grind out the specific resources they offer. if you don't enjoy the grind, it's not going to get better.

Usually not a fan of cheats, but it's not like this is gonna affect me or others. Get as many as you want. Make sure to do some backups though.
also grinding HR quests is something that's going to keep coming up since so many decorations use HR mats. the grind doesn't really get better at any point.
This might sound like a really stupid question, but how exactly do you farm?
If you aren't taking two Gathering Palicos, farming is going to SUCK.
Honestly, once I got access to a Gathering Palico, I leveled the ♥♥♥♥ out of it and I never looked back. The amount of resources those one/two ♥♥♥♥♥ got me through every single quest I ever did was just too worth it. I've never had to worry about having enough resources because of them and the single one when I do multiplayer.
Hell, I've never even used a Palamute before. In the creation, I made mine look like the worst kind of color scheme for a dog/wolf furry OC and named him "Clown."
That being said, have you touched the actual endgame of MR yet?
The amount of farming you'll have to do will make a HR Almudron Plate look like cake.
Fun is also correct in that being that mod he posted having and Item editor, but, with power comes responsibility. At least try to farm stuff in the future and, when you're just done with it, head to the item editor.
However, this is YOUR game and, as long as you aren't harming other players online, play it how you want to find the most fun you can have.
Edit: Read your next post and I see you're at the endgame. Apologies for asking.
I soloed everything in the game including A5 monsters. I don't mind farming MR quests or anomaly quests because they are challenging. You can die if you make a mistake in these quests. But in HR they are just dumb punching bags. Huge waste of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.
I have a gathering palico and a Palamute yeah. I recommend Palamute because the mobility is super nice.
I kinda posted too late to get all the information soaked in, so sorry for that one.
Palamute is crazy fast and you can do all sorts of ♥♥♥♥ while keeping your speed up + they can do some crazy damage and status.
I just personally liked cats more than dogs and once I got a Gathering Palico and saw how much ♥♥♥♥ I got from it, it was just a Gathering Palico all the way.
Too much greed leads me forward, unfortunately.
I like both of them actually. The only thing I dislike about them they keep staring at you. I mean they are directly looking at you like Shara Ishvalda. Mostly Palamutes are doing this and they freak me out sometimes lmao.
It's kinda lame having to backtrack(sometimes as far as Low-Rank) for some obscure monster part you need for a craft. I spend nearly as much time in loading screens & post-game menus as I do actually fighting the monster...
It'd be cool if you could like, trade MR parts for HR, and HR for LR or something like that...
Honestly, it's my main gripe with Rise/Sunbreak. I'd LOVE to try out every weapon, like I normally do... It's just somehow way more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tedious in this game.
It's a great idea actually! I really wish this was a thing. This is the worst part of the game for me so far. I don't mind killing MR Almudron 10 times but I mind killing HR Almudron 10 times because he is no longer a threat to me. It's just a dumb punching bag it feels like I'm hitting that robot in the training area for hours.
Hell, put HR mantles or rubies or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ in Bahari's store, but make them cost less. You put the MR ones in there, why not the HR ones too?
I'm NOT spending like 150 coins on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MP Accelerant, Capcom, you can't make me.
Personally just play to do some good old monster huntin, sure I make a list and hunt the monsters I need but I do it to make a set that has gimmick I want to play with while using a set I already enjoy using.
If you are playing the game just to tick boxes like "yep got that" you ain't playing it right imo.
Technically yes I am farming but I'm not going "oh man here I go farming again" I'm thinking "lets crush some skulls under my hammer"
Edit: The whole game is RNG right down to the min/max armor boosting mechanic now, but don't let it get you down. Just play the game for the sake of playing it, have fun with it.
Don't boot up the game grumbling over not getting one specific part you need, just hunt the monster again. Whats another 10 - 20 mins if you clearly have time to spare to sit down and play a video game?
This game is designed to be a co-op game, at least that's how the Japanese treat it.
Monster hunter was never meant to be a hard farm solo "oh look at my time" game, it was always meant to be a co-op game. Thats kinda why companion hunts exist now in sunbreak.
Grab a friend or join a random lobby and just..... hunt........ don't let the RNG bog you down and overshadow the core reason you are in the game, to hunt some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monsters bruther!!!!
