Foray and buildup boost are the heart and soul of the build, Poison is just bonus damage.
Thank you, it's a 3 attack boost, 2 WE with a 3-1-1.
Risen Cham body, arms, and legs. Golden rath helm, and Scorned magna waist.
That's what I'm doing right now, I already tested it in the training center and that's how I know It can do 400+ with tetra strike

As you can tell I just got rid of poison altogether. While poison does do good enough damage, Paralysis disables better and that gives you a better chance to actually pull off Buildup boost. As you can tell from this video it does more damage then poison, and that's before Coalescence, cat boost, and Demondrug

I ended up removing all cham's skillset as It gave me more options for the build... AND this build is TIGHT. I cannot get a 3rd coalescence inside no matter how hard I try.
I've also added Embolden to the build, it gives me added defense however it's main bread and butter is the fact that YOU know when the monster targets you thus you can dodge the monster's attack better allowing you to get status trigger AND adrenaline to trigger (it comes with it and that added 10 attack for 30 secs is more than enough during a paralysis build up) This pretty much takes over for the nerfed tracking.
I tried to get recovery up or even a paralysis jewel in place of Part breaker, however part breaker is way to good to remove and is better now that I can do more damage, it allows you to topple monsters or at least disable them for a few secs for an added status buildup/sharpening. It would be nice to have more recovery for peak performance however I can get back to full health with kinsect powder.
Kinsect choice has changed from paralysis to blast, gives me more damage while I sharpen the weapon with it's low sharpness.
Anyways I think thats about it for full buildup boost, I'll probably still use it as added damage to my other status weapons, but a full course of it just doesn't work.
it is a 3 attack boost, 2 WE with a 3-1-1 which is perfectly legal and yeah it's modded.
On the raw-favored training area dummy's head (100-27 spread) my Tetraseal finisher on an elemental set does 437, average 60-20 hitzones for raw and ele respectively will favor element even more. I also don't like needing the 30% affinity from Rousing Roar so I go for a consistent 95% crit on weakspots instead.
For status I just use Scorned IG with Flaming arms, legs and Hellfire Cloak 4 for lots of explosions.
I thought with cham's IG at 62, poison attack for added status buildup, coalescence, and status trigger I would get off more damage with Buildup boost, it just didn't cut it, paralysis just did more damage in the end. Plus it's easier to get it to trigger while your whaling on them.
It's a fun build now for a weaker weapon, I got 11 minutes on a lvl 103 afflicted bazel.
But otherwise you're right, Poison (and blast, as long as we're on the topic) are awful damage. You might do around 300-500 damage throughout the entirety of it's ticks in a single activation, but around the end of MR, you can do that much damage in a couple seconds just by attacking, even with a mediocre build.
It's only real use is against Kushala, where it deactivates it's wind barrier for the duration of the poison.
That's legal as far as I can tell, yes. Attack Boost can go up to 3 in Slot 1, Weakness Exploit only goes up to 2 regardless of slot and 311 is legal for 2 A skills. What do you have in the slots, though? Attack Boost + Defiance + Defiance? So a level 2 Decoration in a level 3 slot?
