Anyways I prefer MH Rise.
Monster Hunter Rise or Monster Hunter: World

Low end PC? Rise for gameplay (variety even using the same weapons)
I prefer Rise gameplay and design
if you want to play an arcade boss fighting fast paced action game, play risebreak
Rise is about getting out of bed without waking up ur dog thats sleeping on the bed
Look up the steam charts:

Rise has over 2x Worlds 24-hour peak players. So if you are cool with grinding through Low Rank, High-Rank and most of End-game Solo? World is your Answer.
I feel like Monster Hunter sequels are more 'spiritual' successors than direct sequels. World had awesome UI and menus. Rise has hands down the worst UI design I've experienced in any Monster Hunter title, but it improves on the combat to a very satisfying degree.
Ultimately, I'd say I enjoy Rise/Sunbreak more than World, strictly from a gameplay standpoint. It's smooth, quick and has plenty of new mechanics to keep me interested.
World has a lot of big and small QoL changes everywhere including having a join mid mission system that makes sense(You can see what missions are being hosted).
A co-op hosting that doesn't cause penalties unless people actually join you(unlike rise). The ability to auto sell all "sell only" items such as the import ores.
Meanwhile Rise can't get out of the past both with endlessly reused content and an overall structure that is taken straight from MH3U aka the Village/hub split.
Rise+sunbreak
its gameplay is better than worlds and the monster designs are more unique as well plus weapons dont look like ♥♥♥♥.
the main downside to rise is simply its graphics and world.
both those things are not nearly as robust as worlds where you could travel and see little creatures everywhere and monsters interact with the environment more than they do in rise or really any mh game until that point.
and of course graphically.
mhw was made for the main consoles at the time and got ported to pc so it got better looks overall (which honestly i doubt will return in the following games only because the focus of the game should be on the hunts not how many leaves there are on that one bush in the corner but we shall see) compared to rise which was made for the switch first and foremost with a port coming nearly a year later after its was begged to happen pretty much.
however i will stand with what i say and that is rise is of the 2 the more fun experience and more unique fights.
the split hub is a god send i dont know wtf ur talking about.
world was ♥♥♥♥ with them FORCING YOU TO WATCH CUTSCENES BEFORE YOU COULD EVEN PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS
the first like 5 hours of world is little cutscene after cutscene where you cant even join friends and vice versa, its a ♥♥♥♥ design.
and worlds QoL changes were enhanced in rise far more other than selling the sellable items because oh no you have to look in ur chest for 1 min to sell ur steel egg boohoo.
oh and reused content? lest we talk about how they reused the great jagras skeleton 3 times to make 3 ♥♥♥♥ fights (i love you dodogama but lets be honest ur sadly part of that trio)
or how about kula yaku and tzi tzi yaku being the same fight practically other than FLASH AH AAAAAH SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE
and then uragaan and radobaan oh boi i love when a sub species is considered a whole new monster just like jyuratodus totally not lavasioth.
and then of course all the flying wyverns because can never have enough of them in a game.
and while i like elder dragons and get it was part of the story world made elders feel meh because they were just like everything else and just as common.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ complaining about reused content when 3/4ths of the mhw/ib roster is literally just returning monsters and maybe a new variant like wowee what a great argument
Let alone the rest of what you said like Kulu-Ya-Ku being the same as Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. They literally share no attacks nor mechanics outside of the leap and basic scratch and become even more different at higher ranks(Fake outs for Tzitzi and Elemental rocks/attacks for Kulu).
Let alone compared to Rises 4 raptors all of which fight the same with one move different...But ironically enough Kulu-Ya-Ku who is completely different from the other 3.
and even if they dont share a lot of similar attacks they look the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ same its just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ palate swap.
and the village has a purpose just like all villages before it, its low rank, its literally a glorified tutorial, it has ALWAYS been that way and world just decided to make its glorified tutorial unskippable because this was the first time for a lot of people to play the game thats it.
not to mention that even if world could let you play with others while watching cutscenes (something rise allows btw) early days of world you would get kicked out after 2 mins anyway along with the fact it took so long for them to fix that issue for all players.
oh btw the 4 raptors in rise at least are far more unique than just basic ass chicken with rock and one that has flaps on its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ head as they have actual mechanics that change up their fights to a better degree than any of the low rank monsters in world did.
not to mention that once the expansion of world came out some monsters were left in the dust with no Master rank equivalent just because they had a subspecies added.
edit: btw if its hated why the hell wasnt it talked about at all? by any youtubers, or even on the forums?
oh wait thats right because its not hated and if people did hate it it got drowned out because it was useless dribble from those that have no idea what they are talking about
w*rld: ugly graphics with ugly characters
