Agnaktor and Zamtrios ? (Why ?)
Am I the only one being HIGHLY bothered to have the little version of those two monsters in the game (zamites and uruktors) but not having their giant monster version, Agnaktor and Zamtrios, being added in Sunbreak, and still not after the first update ?

I mean, how vicious is that ? Why put those species under our nose like that ?

If they were never to put Agnaktor and Zamtrios in the game to begin with, why not create new small creatures that would not trigger the hunters from the previous games ? Is it just capcom being careless, lazy (no new design to create, recycle assets) or vicious ?

I'm just sad, those two monsters are great, and I wouldn't mind as much if not for these lil' creatures being in the game. :/

What do you guys think ? Will we have them in another free update ?

as much as I like Zamtrios, it's tricks are done much better by Tetranodon and Lunagaron, and there's no suitable environment for it to actually function, since there's no ice sheets for it to burrow through and swim beneath.

Agnaktor is just a knock-off gravios and we've already got the other substitute gravios. Mon Hun has one fire/rock lizard design (at least unless you're counting Magmudron) and when you have more than one the the repetition really shows.

I mean, it's not new for babys to be in a game, but not the alpha. In SB, there's Velociprey, but no Velocidrome, Bullfangos, but no Bulldromes, Vespoids, but no Queen, Basarios, but no Gravios, Jagras, but no Great Jagras.

Do you also want Bulldrome in the game?

I think MH are making it clear AGAIN having small monster does not guaranteed the large counterpart when they release SB with Boggi in it. (Where's Great Boggi? It simply doesn't exist and with 2-3 moves? It really doesn't matter)

As mentioned, we have quite a few small monsters without their large counterparts in this game. I don't really think they need to be added. Especially now that we are in the title updates for Sunbreak, the new monsters are harder and harder and a lot of the missing monsters are just not threatening enough to be worth adding unless they get a large overhaul or variant.

I have no idea why some of the others like Zamtrios or Gravios didn’t make it, but I’m pretty sure Agnaktor didn’t make it for the same reason as Lagi hasn’t shown up in 5th gen, long story short it’s due to issues with their models not working with terrain alignment in these 5th gen level designs.
Between Uroktor and some of the level design, such as the lowish ceilings in the lava caverns, it feels obvious that they tried to get Agnaktor in, couldn’t get him to work, and scrapped him last second. Magmadron and his heating up mechanic even feel like a quickly made replacement on top of it.

Great Boggi is the endgame boss

You might have a point about the ice... but Zamtrios is by far a better monster than Tetranodon... and I'm not entirely sure where I stand on Lunagaron besides that it seemed to be ripping on that one Elden Ring boss.

Besides... Zamtrios is the gateway for the return of Tigerstripe Zamtrios... which, IMHO, is probably one of the most creative subspecies made for the series.

... What exactly is Naknak supposed to have in common with Gravios? I mean besides nothing. One is a magma-swimming Leviathan that has to be hit when its shell is heated... and the other is just a fat rock monster that rolls about. Gravios is just older Basarios, so if anything is a knock-off of anything, it would be one of those for the other (though I'm not sure which came first). Frankly though, Gravios has more in common with Volvidon than Agnaktor.
Then of course there is Akantor... who is definitely closer to Naknak in more than just name, but gets justified by being huge.

did you miss that Rise gravios has the "hit the heated shell" gimmick? 'cause it does, they're both lizards with a "the hot parts are weakened" gimmick that swim through rock and spit fireballs and magma lazers. get past the visual difference and the only thing unique to Agnaktor is that it doesn't have the status AOEs. it probably would've better inclusion than Basarios, but if they were both in it'd be two near-identical fights, which Rise tends to shy away from.

Baby Tet is piggyback a fat guy, so no chance to hunt its dad or mom in Rise/Sunbreak
I believe Capcom made a statement that they have had difficulty adding Leviathan type monsters to the post-world MH because their body shape and movement is hard to make look good in HD.

This statement was about Lagiacrus, but Akantor has the same body shape, so I assume the same issues apply to then.

They did say they want to bring the monsters back eventually, but it probably won't be in Rise.

Corrections:
1) Its because of the body contact with the ground, World made it worse due to the slopes
2) it aGNAktor
