The combat just doesn't feel as free and fluent as it did in MHW. Feels like I have to jump through hoops to do something a simple as turning my character mid combo, and for me it really ruins the game.
Still trying to perfect the timing on that one uppercut move that does crazy KO damage.
i think the rise changes are actually a step forward in terms of changing it up and improving other moves. multiple ways to go into falling bash, and it feels much more consistent to land and even chain repeatedly. Perfect Rush can now be ended with a spinning slash in case you don't wanna get displaced landing the finisher. and the shield bash combo is actually super good. Only downside is that the regular Y slashes are almost entirely irrelevant now because shield bash combo also has a variant that carries status and element. ♥♥♥♥, you can even run mestu shoryugeki and not lose out on KOs with drill slash.
i was hoping that the more moves you squeeze in before ending on the spinning slash the stronger it is, but it turned out that the only thing that matters is the move that comes directly before it. and ofc the shield bash combo ends on the high mv spinning slash.
MHWorld is made different product but same brand, its like COKE Zero
MHrise is COKE Original flavor, feel me?
