@Community Managers> Suggestion: Group Finder Forums Subsection
There is plenty of reasons for not having such a subsection within the forums.
Nevertheless I still consider it an option worth mentioned as a suggestion towards the managers in charge for the forums.

It would benefit the community having a subsection to help players finding players.

At least a pinned thread for stuff like

"official Monster Hunter Rise discord" or "Hunter etiquettes" or "How to play multiplayer" might be beneficial for a lot of new players within the community.

Maybe, if this suggestion does not meet any interest, someone might consider writing a guide for the community which can be pinned to ~ cultivate a more organised community for people playing together.

The better and more active a community is in playing together, the more the correspondent game might attract new players and therefore increasing sales numbers.

What do you/others think about this?

Honestly, a LFG section would be nice, and it would help keep the main forums free of clutter. It felt like a quarter of all the threads in MHW was people trying to find groups to play with. It was annoying to sift through.

Hm... considering the amount of responses, I guess there is not much interest after all.

I was thinking of something similar. But then I also understand when there is not much interest there would be not much need to make more work for the managers.

Yes

I still hope the community managers see this. At least the many threads with people looking for party are an indicator that the idea might not be that bad.

I suggested this when World came out because about a week before release the discussions got absolutely flooded by people trying to advertise their clan / group discords and such, lol.

They put my thread in the "trolololo" subforum

Capcom seems to have like one forum mod for every single Capcom game on Steam, at least that's what it feels like sometimes. A group finding mechanic would have been helpful though, yeah.

I guess you're just expected to use the Monster Hunter Rise Discord of your choosing though instead, these days.

You might see now why I praised the Barotrauma moderator so much when I started playing Barotrauma. :mhwhappy:
The forums there are so organised ~

Funnily enough I did the same, but that was because I'm used to overzealous moderation from another community lol, where threads just got insta-locked and everyone banned because the mods over there were just insane, seemingly.

Seeing Dynamoon and the others in the Barotrauma discussions take a leisurely and unbiased approach to moderation, actually resembling functional human beings in most cases is definitely something worth praising :winter2019happysnowman:

But uh yeah anyway Capcom should recruit some more Steam mods, probably. That'd probably require them to care about the PC userbase first though.

Still seeing more and more looking for friends/group threads. I am starting to give up on a community manager response by now. :-/
