Try upgrading your armour, whether it be getting better armour or doing so with use of armour cores.
Guess it's time to grind out a decent HR armor set...
I mean you won't have much left over but it's pretty much a free moxie if you can sheath in time to pot or farcaster back to base.
Personally, if I'm struggling with clearing something with PUG groups, I go full support with the hunting horn and maxed wide-range skills and act as the "healer" of the group spamming hi-potions and dust of life.
I didn't think changing the petalace would make much of a difference but I'll try the defensive one.
The petalace decides how much health you get per bird plus the max cap. If you set your map filter to "other endemic life >> green spiribird" you'll see green icons pop up everywhere.
At least gathering your max spiribird buff at the start of a hunt can double your health bar and takes just minutes.
If you add a couple more minutes to grab some yellows as well you can make a hunt vastly easier.
I would try to stack water res decos if craftable as well as eating for felyne defender, water res dango, and moxie or booster.
Red bubbles buff you so you can touch those. If afflicted with bubble blight, don't sprint, you can slide around instead walking normally.
However, it's basic common sense to immediately trade your LR set for a HR one which has not only way better skills, but way better defenses, and decoration slots too. Just in case you somehow forgot to do the obvious.
im using aknosom S full set, is that good enough for general HR hunt?
HR mats are really pain to farm
However a tip I could give for soloing stuff in general is to always have flashbombs and barrel bombs handy along with traps and combine material (in case you run out of them as retrieving these involves abandoning the quest to get new utensils from your chest) for some extra damage and crowd control. It Stunning or other types of making a monster incapable gives you easy free extra damage and it's one of the most common strategies actually. Don't know about how effective sleepbombing is in the newer games as it was probably nerfed for a reason but back in the day it was another good strategy to kill stuff fast and effectively.
Also make sure to always have might seeds/mega demondrug and adamant seeds/mega armorskin as they can boost your stats a bit.
