I mean, can't really blame them. The game isn't exactly super straight foward on this. I believe they're just mentioning it's multiplayer.
I'm averaging about 4-6 minute hunts on Village consistently because it seems monsters have barely any health, and hit like pillows. Hub is like 8-13 minutes, and is more difficult, especially if you play with randoms.
because the Village is intentionally designed to be an extended tutorial in order to ease new players into the game, while the rest of the game all happens in the Hub
it isn't the game's fault that you're not paying attention to what it tells you
