Like I'd rather fight through 40+ quests to get a taste of the game and fully open it up for playing, than open some thinly disguised cheats menu and turn monster aggression to 0, monster detection to 0, and monster damage to 10% etc. "Accessibility / Journalism" mode.
Games without difficulty settings: solid gold.
exactly my thoughts. like MHW story had even more quality than this, to start with.
I would even recommend you 50 shades of gray if you think "zora magdaros is attacking" was a good storyline.
I am sorry I don't find just smacking re skinned monsters that take 5 minutes to down without any lead up to be very fun.
The game is piss easy and has no story, it's fun to just button mash for an hour per day but I can't see myself buying the next one if the difficulty stays nonexistant and the story is not improved.
Previous MH games did not need the story because they relied on gameplay, you had to prep for each hunt, select the correct equipment, get the necessary potions (remember hot/cold environments? paintballs?).
MH4 had a way better story than Rise and was way more challenging (there were multiple cool villages to visit), then World had a decent story and less challenge, and now Rise has 0 story and 0 challenge, I mean the monsters are literally on Google Maps.
I am sorry for wanting at least something to be invested in while I am playing.
your whole argument is moronic, because you base it around "story".. in a mh game. Wether this one or world or any one past.. The story was always trash. In world they tried to tell one and it was also trash.
I can not really take any of your gripes seriously cause you mention "story" so often. Just stop. Atleast bring a decent argument to the table so i do not have to stop reading 2 paragraphs in.
Its like hating a super mario game cause the story is not good... no ♥♥♥♥ sherlock.. who plays a super mario game for the story?
Atleast be authentic.
I just checked Google Maps and there are literally no monsters from Monster Hunter on there.

3 cheers for the hero. Here's an odachi for you. Honestly the Barroth was harder :/
All I am saying is that if you can't make the gameplay memorable, at least have something else catchy.
As it stands the game is very easy and the story is not good in a sense that the game would have been better off without it like in GU where you just had an absurd amount of content and no terrible cut scenes.
Hopefully Sunbreak will have monsters that I can't just wirebug away from and nuke them with my eyes closed.
