Rathalos - sigh

Really struggling with Rathalos in this one, i think in world it was by far easier to deal with.
Such bs one shot mechanics in this one though.
Anyone else feels like me ?

All the monsters have been boosted a little bit to keep up with the more agile player characters. I haven't seen any one shot moves, though.

Rathalos for the first time in almost 20 years was made into a hard and engaging fight. He's great.

For real. Every cutscene in previous games is just Rathalos getting clapped so he's taking revenge.

Agreed, Rathalos was hard. I especially struggled with a quest where both he and Magnamalo had to be hunted.

Most of my armour is upgraded, yes.

Best Rathalos incarnation IMHO. It flies a lot, but also lands quickly so you can attack more. Also, it's got some pretty tricky combos. Even that triple fireball almost always hit me when I wasn't used to it yet. It's got some weird tracking.

Red, blue or silver?

Make sure your armor isn't elementally weak to them. It also helps to take Blight resistance at max level so you'll be immune to both Rath and Mango blights.

Rathalos is fairly quick in this one, so there'll be a lot of evasive action on your part. Make sure your armour is upgraded properly and you should be fine. Also, do not hestitate in the slightest to use wyvern riding, stinkminks and puppet spiders are your friend.

Using SnS currently, but when I get to him might switch to LBG and shoot him down.

you need fire resistance and agile weapon such dual blades and glaive, you can flash bang it if you want a slower weapon to work, hr rathalos stay in the like 67% of the time

It's cool guys, i ended up beating it solo eventually. It just was too weird for me that the learning curve of this fight is so much harder than world's.

Normal Rath doesn't have one shots, upgrade your armor. World rath was easier, but world rath was also pathetic, could just flash it out of the sky 3+ times and call it a day.
