Well thats my second wish for this to happen but somewhere someone wrote, that the needed data is wiped clean from PC Port (Maybe Switch emu data port possible?)
Those layer armor could have been a reward or some hard event quest...
But ultimately the problem wouldn't exist if people were not dumb enough to buy into it. So, the real blame is there tbh.
It would suffice or make sense if Capcom and any other game concered offers alternatives. Thinking of MH amiibo specifically: have them add codes which can be redeemed for PC version and whatsoever. That would in fact increase sale numbers of amiibos beyond the static Nintendo audience.
A nice The Witcher collectible set with additional redemption codes for Steam and GOG? I would have nothing to complain aside of: WHERE?
But yeah, by the end of the day it is consumer behaviour which dictates what kind of industry stuff is going on. No matter the critiques about amiibos one can praise about them: the ingame rewards were never game breaking. It is always just a goodie in addition to an already great figurine.
I still feel itchy about the awesome looking layered armour announced for Sunbreak, though...

I wish Capcom and Nintendo would work together to make special events for PC players to acquire them. I would not mind some silly Nintendo advertisement event like the Sonic race ones. I probably would not even mind transport missions... ahahahaha...
I was yesterday in an electronic store. They had literally tons of amiibos unsold. I think the amount circulating through the market is more than sufficient, especially after seen what happened to Skylanders. No idea how you get scalped when dozens and dozens of supposedly rare amiibo are discounted for sale because no one seemingly want them.
Same for the Game & Watch of Zelda. They were half price and there were hundreds of them.
