Got my copy from humble because of charity. No issues here either.
For some reason Rise is being a tad difficult. In any case I have sent a ticket in with them and hopeful will be able to get a response. Still going to play the hell out of it in the meantime.
I think it is an exception. There is a reason why the shop is established for so long for whatever reasons. Maybe the deal there was just so good that they did not expect so many people buying that game.
Happens with other shops like humble too in rare cases. Then it sounds like this: "we ran out of keys and are working on getting new ones asap".
A fair or even a good deal nonetheless with third party vendors.
For some reson the same thing has happened to my brother, but his friend from america got the pre-order stuff just fine (and we all got it from green man).
Nah, they've messed up pre-order codes before in the past. Some of it wasn't their fault though.
Atelier Lulua or Ryza (forgot) - MIssing pre-order code. Was provided a week or so later I believe.
Super Robot Wars 30 - Missing pre-order code. This one wasn't their fault. Bamco didn't give out the pre-order keys to GMG/Humble and other 3rd party sellers. Was provided about a week later.
Here is what the game looks like under "View licenses and product key activations" menu in my Steam account. Does it say it was a "pre-purchase" copy?

Nope, as I mentioned in my post, it says (Launch), even though I received my key before the actual release date. Must be an issue with post-launch keys being mixed up with preorder ones. As you say, I've done a ton of preorders through them and never had an issue like this myself. Hopefully it's something they can remedy; not sure if they can provide a preorder key and it'll just activate or if I'll need to revoke existing access then activate a new key.
Hopefully they don't just tell me there's nothing to be done but we'll see.
Doing it for years without the so called "hassle" that is mentioned here.
I payed 39.98 and received everything (game + pre order items) within minutes, like always.
