For some reason the modded Switch version looks better than the Steam version of the game
Yeah idk what's going on.
Tried all settings but it still looks blurry. Its like texture filtering is messed up or something.
Its shimering a lot too and just looks worse compared to a 1080p Switch mod.
Something's wrong with the PC version. Maybe it has forced Dynamic resolution or something? Idk

And yes, i've tried everything. AA on, AA off, 150% resolution scale, everything its still blurrier than the 1080p modded Switch version.

Here's some comparisons:

How do you mod the Nintendo Switch version?
Torche Jan 13, 2022 @ 4:37am
Have you set the resolution scaling to 150%?
Vespertellino Jan 13, 2022 @ 4:38am
Have you tried turning on antialiasing or just upping graphics settings?..

disable depth of field then

Same here. Running native resolution with AA settings maxed out. Game looks terrible, as if it's being upscaled from a much lower resolution

I kinda see what you mean. Some stuff like vegetation looks better on the PC version in those shots though (at least as far as I can tell). I will say that at 1440p and 150%, my game looks way better than both. Might want to check out your settings.

You playing this on Yuzu or Ryujinx by chance?

I have not even installed yet but I gotta say your PC screenshots look like 720p at best

Strange. I remember in some instances world was kind of bugged with the settings and they needed to be set back and forward. Try changing the preset graphics settings, saving, and then manually resetting. If that doesn't help not sure.

Ryujinx. And yeah some parts are better looking but in general the image quality on the PC version is worse. Its like anistropic filtering is not working at all and its using the base switch setting. The mod itself is literally 3 lines of code so its not an overhaul mod or something, just increased resolution and disabled dynamic resolution.

Definitely seems to be something on your end, this is how mine looks like:

I know, the game seems to be riddled with "your mileage may vary" type issues, just putting it out there that what you experience isn't the standard.

My best guess is you have enabled some sort of forced AA/blur/dof whatever through your graphics card driver or whatnot~ :RoPOwl:
