Xbox controller detection
Is anyone else having an issue where their Xbox One wireless controller is getting stuck on the triggers? The game just assumes I'm holding LT so it brings up the item menu (I have swapped LB and RB) Kinda sucks because I was so ready to double dip and I'm already having issues with the game :mhwhelp:

Yep Same here, it's been quite annoying, I can fix it by unplugging and plugging back in my controller, but this is just ♥♥♥♥ for playing :/

I use a 3rd part dongle for wireless, my controller is bluetooth. I could just use a wire to connect my controller but I mainly use it for Kingdom Hearts since the PC collection is a mess

Yep. I can't even use my Series 2 Elite. L trigger stays pressed, even after restarting the game. Tested wired and with the Xbox dongle. Switched to my PS5 controller (MOBO built-in bluetooth) and seems to be working fine. I actually thought it was an issue with my controller at first lol. Something going on with the game's input handler I guess.

Interesting that its a wireless issue. I'm using a wired Xbox controller, not even first party, with no issues. Is it perhaps a steam issue or have you not had issues in the past?

Solved it for me as well.

It did it both wired and wireless, and only with my Xbox controller (PS5 controller was unaffected). Literally never had this problem before with any other game, so it seems to be specific to Rise whatever the issue is.

How strange. O.O I've not changed anything and had no issue. Interesting.....I'll try my switch controller, wireless, later and see if it bugs out.

Seems to only be affecting official Microsoft Xbox 1 controllers going by the posts on here

That would be....odd. Like, a facepalm moment if they borked that up. XD

PC's and Wired Vs Wireless is always so weird. Like aforementioned, I have to plug my Xbox controller into my PC directly in order to play the KH collection from Epic because the game will have a panic attack and remap all the buttons to weird setups. Like if I were to use my Xbox controller wirelessly and try to play Kingdom Hearts II for some reason start is mapped to R3. It's a mess so I can see why trying with the Xbox controller plugged straight in might be a fix attempt

What's funny is I don't have that issue with the KH collection lol. I believe I had a similar problem with Kingdom Come Deliverance, but with my PS5 controller. Yeah, it can be a mess sometimes lol.

Go properties, controller and disable steam input. It worked for me.
