Male or female for best looking armor?

Someone will inevitably make a mod or the like that allows you to change your character's gender and appearance for free, by the way, as saves are local-only, after all.

MH has historically favored females, even giving some females exclusve armor options. MHW was an exception to the rule, and you'll notice iceborne threw things back to the way they were a bit. It's not that the male armors were good in world, so much as the female armors comparatively sucked. The male armors were largely on par with the male armors of the rest of the series, only slightly more drab.

I haven't seen rise armors much, yet, but i imagine they're way, way more similar to those prior to world.

This would actually be really, really nice. Every once in a great while, there's actually a decent male armor.

Honestly, after i used a cheat in Tri (wii, not 3ds) i learned to make females to begin with. I got so sick of seeing, more or less, the same thing with a different number of spikes, plates, and color palette. Once i saw the variance of female i just did this for every japanese game. Let's be clear, Japan knows it's audience in this regard, and not many men in the know play male. It's like code vein: how many people actually play as males and what is the male playing demographic (to be fair, the male playing demographic has more attributes in MH due to the greater socialization and the fact it's easier to see the character as yourself)?

Tradition? Usually people do it out of fear, because they don't care, or they're more interested in making a personal avatar for people to see as their real selves.
