Why does the game not unlock at midnight? Whats the point in waiting until like noon the next day?

This game will unlock in approximately 20 hours

you literally have a countdown. even if time zones are too hard to understand, you get the exact time in the middle of the steam page.

What if i told you its neither. The timer clearly states the number of hours till launch, and its not 9 to 12 hours from now (US time zones).

Developers usually want to be both awake AND at work when they push the button, not when it's most convenient to you.



Exactly, and if they were to release it when it's midnight in your particular region, then players in other regions would complain about others "getting it first".

This logic doesnt scan when you consider the fact the game comes out like 2:30am on the 13th in Japan lol. Which is yknow where the devs are.

Well this developer happens to be a publisher as well with subsidiaries around the world.
