Why this game?
Why play this, when you can play Monster hunter wolrd with much more better graphic? This game looks like from year 2012 not 2022 lol

Because I'm playing a game
If I wanna watch pretty graphics I watch a CGI movie :happy_yeti:

Its a port from the slowtendo switch. Of course it looks like a ps2 game.

Plus yes MHW has way more content.
Only with iceborne, without iceborne it doesn't so let's see how that comparison holds up when sunbreak releases

What facking PS2 games were you guys playing that looks like a Switch game? Either you're incredibly blind or you're just trolls.

You still have to prove how Rise looks like a PS2 game.

Because the game was made with switch in mind and they scaled it for PC. Graphics don't mean ♥♥♥♥, the game-play is the juice, and the one that has the most is Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, with "bad graphics" since it was a 3ds port on switch.

Also, most people play games for the gameplay. I can enjoy games from 90's and not complain about their oudated looks.

What matter is that i'm having fun playing it. Eye candy is just a nice thing to have while playing, not a requirement.

*siltently waits for modders to give us 4k graphics*

MHW also runs on a garbage engine that's held together with duct tape and falls apart if you poke at it enough.

Why play any MT Framework game when I could play an infinitely more stable RE Engine game instead?

Because world and rise are different games with different design philosophies. World was something completely new that used the monster hunter idea and franchise. Rise is the next game in the base game series. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate was the last one. Rise just takes some lessons learned and ideas from world but the ethos of the game is the same experience MHGU delivered. Updated control scheme, etc etc.

If you like world, play world. No one has a gun to your head telling you to play this game. There is room in the world for both types of games. Not only that, considering how well MHW sold, it's likely a forgone conclusion they will make another world like game. So I think you really have nothing to worry about.

I'm actually quite pleased they have not completely abandoned their core player base who got them where they are like so many other companies do in search of infinite money. Monster hunter is one of the few franchises that has expanded to a broader market without giving the finger to their core base of players.
Mmmm, world got super hyped up, ACTUAL TV commercials, E3 introduction, etc.
If you go according to Steam achievements, less than 50% completed basegame.
Still, a sale is a sale I guess
