A lot of the fifa games aren't cracked, which, as much as i hate them, are insanely popular. Dirt 5 isn't cracked, which is a high profile game in that scene. Monster hunter stories 2 was a huge success, wasn't cracked. Deathloop wasn't cracked. Far cry 6 wasn't cracked. Marvels guardians of the galaxies wasn't cracked.
My point is, it works. And I totally understand why they do it, considering most sales happen during the first few weeks of a release, hence why a lot of companies remove it later on. Good PR stunt and it did it 's job.
Are ya serious? Money. If you legit think there's no loss in piracy, that's gold.
A lot of people who pirate are those who just plain don't have the money, are victims of ridiculous regional pricing or simply can't buy the game whatsoever in their region, and DRM will not magically make them suddenly have the possibility to purchase the game.
And as for those that can buy the games but resort to pirating instead, most of those people will just go to something else instead, because why would they bother sticking around?
People in positions of power, however small, are known to often trust their gut more than evidence which isn't bad by itself when there's too much contradicting information but not when their prejudice against a poorly researched phenomenon leaves them vulnerable to other companies trying to financially benefit from their fears.
That's not true at all. Stop acting like the only pirates are people who would never buy it or from countries where they couldn't even if they wanted. It's also a really ♥♥♥♥ argument to make against Denuvo and makes you look ridiculous. They lose far more money not protecting their assets, and it's proven time and time again by the implementation of the anti-piracy software.
The amount of people who won't buy because of Denuvo is ridiculously small compared to those who will buy. They aren't losing anything by implementing it. They are, however, are protecting potentially hundreds of thousands by offering protection to stop people from just getting it for free.

I pointed out proof that it doesn't help sales, but piracy does help, now it's your turn
