Anyone upset that this game has denuvo?
I really despise denuvo. People that played the pirate version of RE8 had a better experience than paying customers and I hate the Capcom keep using this thing in their games

A lot of people are upset about it.

Is it worth getting upset about? That's probably a better question. MHW's does have issues, but none of them are tied to the DRM (those issues were unaffected outright when the DRM was removed). I expect it's probably a similar case here.

RE8 is the only game I can think of off the top of my head where its issues were actually caused by the DRM. Pretty much any game from AAA studios will have it, and it doesn't cause performance issues (again, except in RE8 where the issues are actually traced to its DRM).

absolutely

It was the right decision by Valve to put DRM-related downvotes into the 'review bombing' filter. While DRM can be a data protection topic, a vast silent majority of players really don't care about it. Whether that's good or bad is a different discussion but it's got nothing to do with the quality of a game itself. Gameplay, graphics, usability, story... that's what I want to know about. To learen more about DRM, I certainly don't read Steam reviews...

i used to be upset in the earlier days of denuvo back when hardwares and softwares werent really that good. nowadays it just doesnt do much except preventing pirates crack before actual game release day, but few weeks later. hell it doesnt take that much in some cases. still, if it ll make somebodies sleep okay/feel false sense of security that their game aint pirated, then so be it. i dont really care.

yup but not as upset as i would've been if that kept it a secret. considering it hurt the salls of iceborne you would think they would skip it this time but hm ho.

still with a bit of luck they will patch it out consider it get cracked in under 24 hrs.

No. It won't have any effect on the gameplay and by the time Denuvo is gone Capcom will have removed it anyway, besides MH isn't the type of game where you come back to it years later and play an old version.

Not sure if demo has denuvo but demo was pretty smooth for me. As long as the performance is ok, i don't mind.

I'm annoyed by it, but they have a right to try and protect their property from theft as much as possible. Will it still be cracked? Absolutely, but they're hoping to probably get a month of safety out of it before then.

Demo played just fine for me, idc as long as performance isn't tanking.

Theft kinda implies they lose something though, which they really don't. Heck, didn't the EU do a study on piracy and its effects, only to find that the effects were negligible or sometimes even positive?
A lot of pirates aren't gonna buy the game if they can't pirate it, likely because of a whole variety of reasons like not having the money, regional pricing being bonkers or availability being nonexistent, and DRM isn't going to magically fix those issues.

NO. I have never had a problem with denuvo. I dont care if I lose 2fps because of it since I have always been able to play at 60 regardless.

I guess it sucks for those enthusiasts who want to play at 500fps but end up only getting 498fps because of denuvo.

Of course they lose something in the piracy of a newly released game. You cannot be serious. lol
