I don't think anyone hates MHW players, I've openly stated like 30 times in this forum I'm a MHW gamer, or that it was my first, and no one cares. Most of the graphic ♥♥♥♥♥♥ trolling on the forums saying "this looks like a PS3 game" are people who started with MHW like me. So by merit usually people dunk on their lack of awareness via that metric.

It’s not that people hate world players it’s that people don’t like uniformed opinions and unrealistic expectations. I started in world myself but I went and did research on the series and realized rise was never going to be world. And that I needed to go in and judge the game for itself not based off world. I also realized that comparing to Iceborn was absurd because rise is not a master rank game. Many world players didn’t do what I did and tbh I don’t expect most to but when someone tries to explain why something to them and they come in with “but world” people get annoyed and I think that’s where many vets of the series are now

I never hated MH players, but recently, in MH World and other mh games, since the MHW exploded into popularity, other toxic playerbases came from other games to our franchise and infected the community, hence why we got a minority in the community that consists of metaslaves, speedrunners, elitists, purists and other sorts of uneeded cancer in the community that needs to be purged. I think that most of these trolls either came from Dark Souls.

The vast majority of us don't hate world. World may be the worst monster hunter in a long time, IMO, but its still a good game and fun to play! The problem is a lot of the people who play world, or maybe its just the steam forums, think only graphics matter, or are trolls.

Its not only on steam forums, you also have much more of these MHW trolls on reddit and discord. They get really mad if you disagree with them and if you refuse using their meta. Most of the trolls and ragetards are consisted with elitists, purists, speedrunners and metaslaves.

I dont hate World players, I hate World players that make up BS to make Rise look bad because its not MHW. The World community blatantly lies or coincidentally forgets the severe shortcomings World has as a MH title. But because they like it so much, anything thats not World is automatically heresy and is to be treated as such.

And mhw community didnt even acknowledged that other mh tites are also graphically weak but strong gameplay-wise, and if you are talking about mhw community, that community are just consisted in first timers because they only tried mhw, and not other titles, and yet complain that other mh titles are bad because the graphics and begin to be jerks about it and, resort to use insults and stuff. Mh community used to be very friendly and welcoming ,until mhw exploded in popularity, which atracted Dark Souls and Elder Scrolls:Skyrim toxic fanbases into our community, and now look at what we got.
