I hope Capcom rethink the 1 time Transfer Save feature and add it Like from MHG to MHGU
as the title says I hope Capcom rethink the Transfer Save feature Like from MHG to MHGU and implement it, since I am getting MHR here on PC, and I already have it on Switch I hope Capcom make at least an option for a 1-time transfer save, so it can save a lot of time on the grinding since I pre-purchased MHR on the NSwitch. The implement of the 1-time transfer save feature would also boost the trust in the company. If they do not implement the trust will decline, I believe so

That would make no sense, the transfer from MHG to MHGU its so you can get started on GR with your save file, not because you got it on a different console. If they were to make it that you can transfer your save file it would just be better to just do cross save instead of a one time thing.

Considering the save transfer exists for 3ds to switch as the 3ds version of GU never came out outside japan?

You may be slightly off there.

I know it transfers from 3DS to Swtich, I'm just saying that the transfer is there to let you jump right into GR without having to go through LR/HR again.

Yeah. Something that wouldn't have been required without the system change.

Because they could have just had an import save from memory function like freedom unite did otherwise.

So, your comparison is a bit off.

What I meant is that there is little to no reason for you to go back and play MHG when you already have MHGU, with all the new things that it brings. That is why the one time transfer makes sense.

However, Rise for switch and PC are going to be the exact same game once it releases, and both platforms have their advantages, (pc: graphics, mods; Switch: portability) So it's possible for someone to play both simultaneously, in that case if they were to implement a “save data transfer” it would be better to just make it cross save instead.

Yeah, cross save. Which they have said they won't do.

Which is why reconsidering a one time transfer method would be nice.

so chances are, they can't let you transfer save data because you are going from nintendo to PC and not nintendo to nintendo. maybe nintendo themselves just doesn't want to let capcom do that with their system. it's not going to happen either way. if you really want to, you can probably find someone's save file online and then use a character edit voucher to remake them to look how you want or something.

Historically Nintendo doesn't have an issue when it comes to allowing cross-save features for games, so the lack of cross-save falls on Capcom not having a system in place to make the feature possible at this point in time.

And refusing to try in spite of the fact that people have been asking for cross save support since before World launched. Y'know, back in 2018.

Hopefully they end up working on it for the next MH release considering they acknowledged the interest for once. I wanna remain optimistic about it and say it'll happen someday at least.

honestly with stuff like modders and cheat engine,we could either get a save transfer via modders (less likely at the very start) or chances are someone gonna find out in cheat engine the attack value and you can just speed your way back to what you were on switch
But honestly don't get your hope up for official transfer save, they said it wasn't in it and pretty sure they already stoped caring about it with that statement out

yes, nintendo doesn't care about cross-save when the save is involved with the game developer's own account, but not when it's using the specific save files on the system.
it's one thing to have a fortnite account keeping track of everything, on epic's servers, but it's another thing to try and access a save file on the nintendo system and send it to the PC.

The thing is developers have to have those features in place anyway to allow for the feature to be available, which likely plays into why capcom isn't doing it for Rise. Either way I highly doubt Nintendo would bar a game from having the feature so long as the developers provide the means to have the feature.

well if capcom had a special "capcom account", they could use that system to host the saves online, but as the save file is local, nintendo probably has most of the control and they don't like it when people manipulate save files anyway, so it would be generally difficult to transfer a switch save file to PC

That's what I mean, Nintendo isn't the reason the feature isn't happening. It's Capcom not having the system in place to allow for the feature in the first place that's preventing cross-save from happening.
