Good news with Rampage is, its just so easy, No challenge. Unlimited revives. Haven't lost a fight yet. It will also boost your HR by massive amount compared to anything else in the game.

As for end game grind it really isn't much.

End game is pretty much farm talisman. And then depends on how many different weapons you want to make builds for.

Events suck and they give no incentive to do it unless you like stickers and gestures. The monsters are also harder so better off just farming the story quest ones for mats. There are a couple cool ones like Akuma layered armor, but it won't last long.

It's pretty balanced IMO. You can beat every monster with nargacuga weapons and a barroth, zinogre, rathalos, spiel, ingot mixed set that you get mid high rank. But there are stronger options if you're interested. So minimalists will beat every monster fast. Regular players will make armors and enjoy the ride. Completionists will spend quite some time testing weapons and mixed sets.
The real end game grind is about decorations and talismans. Everything else is pretty similar to previous games. I actually like that the decorations make you hunt 3 different monsters for each, so there is an incentive to hunt most end game monsters.
The game is not that long, though, and there are plenty of shortcuts if someone wants to just rush to the top.

dont do Rampages unless you need the tickits or to unlock the respective Apex for doing so ( or if you have to for a quest)

End game is well hunting monsters

filling out your gear sets melding more charms

geting more money you ALLWAYS NEED MONEY

Crown hunting

getting more than one weapon for a main weapon

experiment doing dumb things
experiment trying to do extremely inefficient but flashy combat moves

most people look at it the wrong way the post game is the game

you got the start of the game to acclimate yourself with

then you got the post-game to do whatever you want

It doesn't force you to do rampages. You'll need to clear one of each apex to unlock it's solo quest but that's all you really need to do. You can farm talisman mats by hunting literally any high rank monster so it's really just something passive for you to do while farming whatever weapon or armor or layered armor you want.

For me zero grind

Talisman, decos and Rampage only to unlock the Apex for their regular non rampage quest. Decos only for the ones you need, but each deco ask for different materiales from different monsters. Talismans depending how many builds you want to do, and again you can farm different monsters for that.

Depends what you call grind, iam hr 234 rn, just playing the game, trying different things, weapons, playstyles etc.
Talismans are not mondatory, iam not giving them much attention, i dont even have something like Critical Eye +3 talisman with slots, coz whatever, gear wont make you a better player unless you need this items for a speedruns.

by the time you reach hr 100 and unlock jetboi youll have all your decorations made already for your chosen weaponclass atleast.
depending on weaponclass its rather easy to get a "decent" charm aswell. i got mine from moonbow shortly after beating jetboi finally aswell.
past that there really isnt much substance to the endgame unlike world (base not iceborne)
sunbreak really has alot of stuff to address. way more than iceborne had. but hopefully theyll fokus on fixeing this instead of adding stuff like the clunk claw in iceborne.

There's virtually no grind, unless you want the PERFECT talisman, which really isn't necessary.
I mean, you do still need to grind out lazurite for jewels and outfit tickets for more layered armor. Both of those will still be useful in sunbreak. That ought to last you till well into the HR 200s if not 300s.

It's good until HR50, then it's a slog to get to HR100 and not much to do after that other than just play for fun, which is... well... fun.

youlll probaly need MR vouchers for mr layers. so i wouldnt count on beeing able to use these. and the jewels well. you got a ton of them for haveing played the demo and haveing a world safegame on the drive aswell. i never ran out while makeing them so far.

the mr level 4 decocrafts will use another type of new jewel for certain anyway. so stacking up on the current hr ones will be meaningless. the only thing worth getting is the finished decos and supplys. thats it. anything else is a reset with master rank anyway.
