There's a skill to reduce the Deviation of your bowgun if it annoys you. I would recommend getting damage skills first, but if you want, the skill is called Steadiness (Sniper Jewel 1)

I usually eat temper when I'm using HBG, the deviation doesnt bother me enough and I like the extra damage. not sure how much it is though
It's just one stage of deviation. This means packing 1 level of Sniper/Steadiness will keep you at no deviation even if you eat Temper if you have an open level 1 slot.
Dango Temper is 5% damage increase for Normal, Spread, Pierce, Shrapnel, Elemental, and Wyvern ammo in exchange for +1 deviation.
