No 3rd submarine yet?
All the info I can find says it should unlock after doing the 4 star urgent Hub quest.

I'm 5 star in both Hub and the Village, but I haven't been offered the quest "Economic Stimulation" for the 3rd sub yet?

Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed something?

I think there is a specific quest you need to do to unlock the request.

Why dont you google it instead of asking here? You will get a faster response with google rather than waiting on here.

You need to talk to the NPC in the Buddy Plaza. After talking to her, you'll need to collect mats which once collected, you can submit the request to have it unlocked.

Have you done at least one hunt in each region? Have you spoke to Rondine?

I have, all information I can find claims that I should be getting offered it.

It's supposed to unlock after doing the 4 star urgent hub quest, which you have to do to get to 5 star; which I am.

Update: I've found a few reddit posts where people claim you need to be either Hunter Rank 6, or Village rank 6.

However, every "official" site I can find claims differently:

I think the Bismuth Prisms only drop from the HR zones, so prob means HR 6. I've not received prisms from LR at least.

True, I wouldn't be able to get some of the mats yet, till those HR areas open up; I'm just finding a lot of conflicting info saying I should at least be getting offered the quest.

I wonder if the requirements were changed at some point and the info I'm finding on "official" sites is outdated?

When it comes to IGN, they are nothing official lol They are prone to mistakes as anyone else.

Agreed lol, that's why I keep putting "official" in quotation marks.

However it would be odd for so many similar sites to agree and all be wrong; pretty much every "gamer guide" type site I could find says the same thing about the quest/3rd submarine.

The only alternative solutions I could find all came from reddit or other forum posts from regular people. However, I'm starting to think they are right and all the "official game guide" sites are either wrong or using outdated info.

In order to get the quest you need to unlock the ability to do HR expeditions to the Lava Caverns. To unlock that, you need to do a HR hunt within the caverns. The earliest you could theoretically do this is when you enter High Rank at HR4 (via multiplayer or an event quest). Otherwise it likely won't appear until HR6 which is the first time you get Cavern hunts on the Hub quest list (and it'll depend on the order you tackle them - only three of the seven key quests are in the Caverns).

Ahh, so I could proc it early with event quests in the other zones? That's a good idea, thanks! I'll check that out.
