"Failed to load" ... is my save file dead?

Unlike the issue players had where game fails to launch, i get failed to load save file from the continue window. I'm panicking here. I got fatal error randomly when i was playing and couldnt get back in.

What can i do?

maybe try to load an older version from the steam cloud or your OS' restore file system.
another option would be to get a random save file on the internet and use a voucher to get your character back.
Last option is to do another playthrough (game is ez, shouldn't take long)

There is a questionable guide in the guides section about the suggestion above this post.

So i followed your guide and made it to making a new character. When the game tries to load it after character creation i get failed to load again (i saved it in the same slot as previous main character) but this time a different error number. I dont know whats going on.

Most likely what I have concluded. That it is a follow up issue to the issue Capcom tried to patch before. I recommend giving it another try after a proper restart. If that does not help, hold onto the backup when you made some. Then you can try again another time or maybe until then Capcom brings another hotfix.

Anytime ~ I wish the solution would be more effective in your case. I really do not want anyone to lose their save files like that.

I see my save file but when trying to start it it gives me mhrs-0012-0000 and says theres a problem with your save data. I can see my 66 hours but can't start it.

mine gives mhrs-000C-0000 while trying to use continue on my second character (he even loads the character and everything). i tried everything to recover my second character but sadly nothing worked, i don't know what to do.

by the way, i think my slot corrupted the last time i played, i got disconnected from the servers while in the gathering hub, this never happened to me before.
