one shot from apex rathian

so 410+ def 150 + 50 hp going thru the map every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time to booost my hp kinda boring anyway i fight for 20 minutes dodging every move but a mistake leads me to death is there like rarity 8 armors or something that i am missing?

the event apex quests are brutal, all the single apex monster ones oneshot you with most of their moves.

so all the apex event quests are boosted? I also get one shot from apex mizutsune event quest and didnt event bother to try the harder monsters like apex diablos etc

Any of the apex events that say emergency are buffed apexes that do like 60% more damage than regular apexes do. The apex events that don't say emergency are regular versions.

410 def doesn't seem that high. Have you been upgrading your armor pieces to 11?

To be honest, on emergency apexes, you might as well eat for moxie&adrenaline (one dango), if or when you get hit, you might as well not even heal your HP back, so you get the adrenaline damage buff. If you're already running a valstrax set, the best play is to get hit, hope it puts you into low enough HP to get adrenaline buff on top of dragonheart, and just proceed with the fight from there. If they're gonna put monsters who just oneshot the player with nearly every attack, then the obvious counter is to use hyper mode attack buffs.

It took me so long to kill that thing. I had 455 def, plus armorskin and the 2 armor charms. Had to collect birds, and lantern bugs too. Had to play it slow and not be greedy. Also was able to assistance from one of the monsters on the map.

527 armor wont make a different that event with the fat apex rathian is always 1 shot not only him there is few event of apex they hit like crazy

I really....dislike how they handled Apex in this one. They really should have their gear sets like Tempered did in World.
I suspect they will once Sunbreak releases, however.

Oh, you want easy money?
Make a set with Geologist (Leather plus some decos) and do Expeditions when they have a Mining Node Upsurge. Get a good path set and just mine mine mine until the Locale Information updates (this ends the upsurge, and I believe takes about 20min) then complete it and sell a bunch of that ore (keeping a little every time for yourself to use in crafting).
You will make bank.
I make about 200k per run in the Volcano.

Buy two armorcharms and use one to craft one armortalon (you will need some Ibuchi material, and its on the end of the crafting list) and keep both on you item pouch if you haven't.
Also, use Dango Tickets to guarantee a Moxie.

Emergency quests hit like trucks. They can one shot you with upwards towards 700 defense still. Don't get hit by big attacks.
