I love vocals in OST's. Hell this is some thing FFXIV started doing in it's dungeons and boss fights and it's done nothing but add to the experience.

Just listen to two themes for the same monster from World and Rise, Rajang for instance.

Rajang from World is the outlier. Listen to Jang's theme in any other past games, and IB's theme doesnt fit with how Rajang has been portrayed.

I agree only on two points. The town theme feels repetitive - you can only hear "Kamura" so many times before you have to swap the BGM for your own sanity - and the Allmother theme felt extremely out of place. The rest are amazing.

I would kill for a male choir version of the iconic MonHun fanfare (the one played when an apex nears death in a rampage).

I'll agree with that vocals are ruining iconic monster themes. And while I don't speak for everyone, no one wants that trash. It'd be like putting vocals into Rathalos theme or Proof of A Hero. Get that filth out of here. Capcom made some serious backsteps in game design with Rise that are just terrible. No clue what the team thought they were doing but Rise is by far the worst iteration of MH to date.

Wirebugs = too easy
4 hunters + 4 pets in a hunt = too easy
vocals in music = ruined music, especially monster themes. Theres only one single theme that ever did music good which was fatalis choir cause of how ominous it was.

Mostly im just sick about hearing FFXIV. It's an MMO, a completely different genre, and yes i know its good and people like it. But this is monster hunter, monster hunter always had good music you could just jam out to without vocals ruining it. What next tho, they gonna put vocals into Proof of a Hero?

The old games had better music, even if it was simpler. It sounded more fitting.
World did too much orchestral stuff for monsters that really don't suit it... and yeah, Rise is doing the choir thing.

I had long intended to mod World to replace all the music with Falkkone's symphonic metal covers, but I never got around to it. Maybe I should figure out how to do it with Rise.

Wat, bro. I like the vocals. It fit's with the game. It's a Monster Hunter based around an area that resembles Japanese culture. It's not ruining anything, the originals still exist and it's not like its gonna be like this moving forward. Just say you don't like it and move on.

Also, calling Rise the worst iteration of MonHunt to date is very rich considering the themes of Rise are closer to the iconic themes of the original monsters + that the original gameplay in MonHun was practically CBT.

If i had to take one example of retuning monster's music i prefere in Rise, one in older title and one in world, it would be Kushala for Rise, Mizutsune for Gen, and for world.... i don't remember any music from it, wich it's a shame for a MH game
