multiplayer is for getting stuff done quickly, stop complaining and go solo if you want something specific.
must be thread no. 1343583 about this non issue.

But manners and MH aren't synonymous and that isn't from a "elitist" mentality, its particular to this game becoming mainstream and popular which is a great thing !
This will be my only and last actual comment on the matter:
You are absolutely right with that - like everyone else - who says "do it solo, no one can bother you that way". There is almost nothing wrong with the statement with one exception:
Each time when someone comes around and say something like that, they give up on the community. Original poster does not need to make a thread, like the 6-9 others I have seen the last 72 hours. They do not need to hope anyone care. But they do, and it should be actually a thing that we all do.
At some point it is no longer about "you can do it solo". At some point it is about "do we want people to be like this?" I say "nay" and encourage people to remember: you can chat. You can use stickers to communicate. And most of all: the game is MORE FUN WHEN ENJOYED TOGETHER.
That is what we want. Having fun playing together. There are some questionable subjects out there who are not brain dead, who can read, and still do spoil your fun. That is something we cannot do anything about. But I like to think that the majority is simply "green" and needs the information out there.
One way or another - the ones who cares just need to wait. In doubt those who do not care about etiquette and playing TOGETHER properly will soon switch to another game where they can spoil other people's fun. Hopefully by then the community grows strong enough that standards like greeting each other at first meeting are restored, and friendship can be forged again by enjoying a time together.
If you find anyone green, point them this way if you want: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1446780/discussions/0/3196993949743611807/
And if you want to give up on the community... well, I do not care that much that I would insist on anyone who does that to stay still. Because I think every post which "gives in" sours the mood and only encourage the bad behaviour we want to counter. Cheers ~
And no, just because someone lays a trap they don't get kicked, if they use tranq bombs as well, that is when they get kicked.
I am happy with that fair behaviour.
its amazing if you have a hunt with friendly people who work together, but someone who joins and does just random stuff probably isnt reading forums.
i guess someone how reads stuff outside the game is already vaguely familliar to basic hunting etiquette. its preaching to the choir.
Mhm. I got the feeling myself too. But I do not want to give up.
I might be unable to make "randoms read" (and probably "think"), but I try stuff like using stickers and lines which sounds somewhat like
"Strong hunters kill it now"
"Kill for more loot"
"Capture for gems"
And such.
