High rank Basarios fight sucks

I mean low rank too, but high rank is even worse.

I don't know if I don't understand something about this fight or what, but I played MHW for 2k hours and this game isn't that different. I'm playing LS on Rise since it's a lot of fun here, but this fight, THIS FIGHT IS SO BOOORING and stupid and slow.

You know, I read the hunting notes, it literally says to break the abdomen, yeah sure, then when you do only the hzv for the abdomen changes, which is not the issue.
Literally all the body parts on this monster have 20 or less hzv, with the highest being 25, twenty fookin five. Wtf are we even talking about??
I remember when us bow mains had to complain about how the highest bow hzv on Alatreon and Fatalis were around 30-40, but really, 20-25 or the highest parts and 15 or less on most of it for cutting weapons?
Yes I know when he goes in fire mode he gets softer, it still doesn't change the issue, everywhere you hit is gonna make your weapon bounce off, but I can even ignore all of this bs, but I just can't for the next reason.

His attacks, my god, his attacks are something that make me scream. I could pass on hzv if his attacks where a bit normal and I could dodge them with LS and keep on attacking with natural mind's eye, but NO.
Literally 90% of his attacks he just stands there for 10 whole seconds watching the sky and then attacking, it's so BORING.
And then his scream, what's the point of making his scream last double or three times other monsters? Oh and don't come at me saying "yeah but you can dodge it xd xd" no lol, not if I've only hunted him a few times, I still have to learn his animation and I don't literally see any point in making his scream last so much.
It's not fun, it's not "immersive", it literally doesn't add any difficulty to the hunt, it just makes the fight even more boring if I have to stand there watching him.

Guess it's pretty obvius why when I search for anyone who has hunted this guy on YT with LS no results show up, who would be so rotten in the brain to even make a speedrun with this monster and with this weapon.

I literally don't know guys, I don't even cart or fail the quest, it just takes long and it's boring, oddly enough, I found Rise's Tigrex fight to be amazing, really fun fight where you can actually do something since the monster does its moves the way it's supposed to be.

I hope I missed something on this fight, but I literally hate it, it's boring and annoying, I don't care nor know if it was like this in older games, you (Capcom) shouldn't release a new monster the way it was so that some braindead ogs come at you to clap, yeah I'm gonna join the clapping, but I'm gonna clap for the "amazing" work you've done with this monster.

(Btw I'm enjoying the game, don't take this as a rant to the game, only this fight and a few others *coff coff* Zinogre *coff coff* are really bad in this game)

There's a reason there's free barrel bombs in the chest. I suspect it might be related to his long screaming :P

You wait until it's glowing red. At which point you can helicopter over it with impunity; it's got no attacks that can hit you up there, and the stubby little thing can't move fast enough to get out of the way.

not in HR, I always take supplies since I still don't have much items, there used to be in LR quests, but not in HR. In fact I used them in LR when he went underground and it gave me free openings

With LS? I play LS too, and Basarios goes down like everyone else. Just unga-bunga his legs and belly, counter his barrel roll and charges, and helm splitter him when possible. It's such a slow monster that it really doesn't stand a chance. I'd agree with you it's boring, though.

Yes, Basarios is considered a baby or youngling in lore, not making it up.

Wait till they add Gravios or the Basarios sub species. Also learn how to counter him, Basarios is not that bad, hes just different that all the other monsters.

Bow user here, never had any issue here, with piercing shot he's so easy.
