Not at all, it's short, and the cringe levels are off the charts. However, if you like anime and ninja stuff you will probably like it. You can skip cut-scenes now, so it's not a big deal; I skipped some cutscenes like the monster intros because the cringe levels were too much for me to handle.

This series is very story light. It used to not have pretty much any story but they added in a very basic story that just serves to guide the player a tiny bit.

The story always boils down to "there's a mysterious thing happening, lets check it out. Oh no its an elder monster, go hunt it hunter!"

Rinse repeat for every game and DLC. I wouldn't expect this to change ever.

I'm almost through my therapy needed after the cutscene at the end of the Hub storyline, specifically in regards to what happens to one of the twins. I still need to be kept in intensive care however, due to almost dying from cringe.

Everybody keeps bringing up World's story, but if you step back... It has the same amount of story as all the other games. Only reason you THINK it has a good story is because you have all the cutscenes jammed into your face. Really all they did was give the dialogue you ignore in every MH a cutscene to go with it. It's the same as any other game, "Oh man this monster's causing some problems, OH WAIT, it was actually another monster."
