Break everything , do wyvern riding to get more shiny , capture and then do a ritual involve sacrifice first born to appease RNGesus . Took 1 night and half of a day for me to get it from a shiny .

It might be pure lady luck, but I usually get that kind of stuff just by visualising it.
Maybe the Good Luck skill can help? If I recall it right, I saw once dropped by a Scale Lizard.

The easiest way to get rare materials is to not currently want or need them as RnGesus does not bless those in need, he only blesses their mates that dont need the materials cause then its super funny

It true , i got zinorge plate as a shiny on its first hunt ever .

Better check on hunter note is easy to know (remember low rank or high rank reward)

3% as capture , 1% as carve , 1% as shiny . 2% as reward for breaking .
Someone make a math , it probably take around 12 hunts ( if rngesus find you are funny ) .

This is the most important part, on switch I needed to kill 35 Magnamalo before getting my 1st plate
