Why can't I assign some buddies to submarines?

Topic. I'm trying to switch out my traders with the ones I've finished training, but the submarine menu only allow me to use the ones I am currently using. Can someone enlighten me? I know sub system is a farm from MHW, but I'm sooo confused.

Should be under the "Trade option" or sumthin where you select the items you want them to gather.
Don't remember which button to cancel the trade, but do so and you'll remove the traders and reselect the traders and items.

Ngl, it sucks how you need to reselect the items, but meh, I usually just use certain doggos and cats

As soon as you try to change the item for trade, the current trade gets cancelled and allows you to switch in buddies and desired items. Keep in mind that your active bargain option will be cancelled too.

Perhaps the other buddies are doing something else, perhaps doing the Meowcenaries, Buddy Dojo or in your party.

Thankfully, you can hire a whole army of Palicos and Palamutes to do everything.
I think I have about 50 on standby, almost all of them are Gathering Palicos.
- Send high level buddies to do Meowcenaries and the Argosy for maximum returns.
- Train the hell out of buddies with good skills and abilities.
(Knockout King / Status Attack Up / Go, Fight, Win / Power Drum / Shock Purr-ison)

I have yet to get a Palico with all of these skills.

i remember reading that some palico skills were mutually exclusive; did you check if that combination works?

While I prefer healing bubble, the same combination but with Flash Bombay or Shock Tripper instead of Shock-Purrison would be also awesome for Elder Dragons and Apexes.

maybe you forgot to take them out of the dojo?

just empty the dojo to make sure and re-assign budy at argosy
