Is it possible to use other account save file in the same machine?
So I've been using my Friend account for a while in my computer to try MHRise, it's my 4th day playing MHRise and I'm hooked, I have like 50 hours gameplay.. and i wanna buy it myself in my account.. is it possible to have the same save file but in different account?

If you used steam family sharing, yes, you will have your own safe and need to do nothing, if you used his steam account directly, no.

So the content is registered by the Steam account after all then?

You can family share, my son plays mine when im not on so it was totally doable for op to play on his own account if it was added as a friend on their account.

I understood the question more as:
- original poster played the game via the account of their friend
- they like the game so much they would buy it for themself
- they want to keep the progress they made on the account of their friend

Katitoff implied that the save game has information stored linked directly to their friend's account, which makes an import/export impossible

a condition which I suspected but that I am not 100% sure of, considering the save game architecture.

Yeah as far as i can see because he played on his friends account directly that saves cant be then passed over to his own so i reckon he's gonna have to start again, best to stop doing it that way now i reckon cause he is losing more and more time to a save that he cant pass over. Hopefully he can start again without too much lost, hate it when you get hooked into a game and then you have to start again.
