Hah prowler , such great feature but Capcom just brush it off ....
Maybe there will be some sort of ultimate version for the new gen titles where it fits. But my gut tells me they're probably going to reimplement underwater combat first -.-
I don't even see where there were balance problems, honestly. Prowler was always weaker than using a real weapon, if I remember correctly. They were just easier to play because they didn't have to sharpen, could die multiple times without counting as a cart, and could essentially use their skills infinitely. It wasn't much different from playing a chibi DB, they were just super fun. I remember playing one with Taunt and Adept Guard, and I just spent as much time as possible spanking myself in front of Diablos (while my friend killed it).
It didn't need any balancing. Maybe too few players were playing it or something.
Also, the gunner problem isn't a real problem. They tend to have overpowered combos, yeah, but the actual usage statistics are never in their favor. Everyone's been using Longsword, even before it was buffed by Rise.
we should look into having fun with the game with friends and hunts even if they drop 1 new weapon type it wont be enough content because we all probably would have the materials to craft every tree by then
Weak or strong , it doesnt matter at all. When you buff and nerf , weapon just swap theirs place and never truly on equal ground . Hoping for a game with balanced weapon is like chasing unicorn at this point .
Prowler mode either bursted or weak , it is what it is but it is not a problem . What matter is the class itself required some efforts and time to master thus people have fun playing as cat.
It's a tad harder to get some sort of "balance", since prowler mode changed some core mechanics. But it's such a neat way to lighten up the formula. However, with all the qol changes we got for hunters now, the prowler benefits aren't that huge anymore.
