Would that not set the expectation that the next Monster Hunter would be like Monster Hunter Online a PC game only?
It doesn't have to be online only, or even PC only, they could simply add it to the PC release of the game.
You want to play solo offline, or online on unprotected server, and run tons of mods, and edit god charms in, you got a launcher for that which uses a client sided save.
You want VAC protected server, you have to use a server sided save.
I'd be interested in seeing which one the majority of the community would choose.
I wish I could be that optimistic that the next Monster Hunter installment would be a Nintendo Switch game again. I am actually looking forward for Monster Hunter: World 2 for the Playstation 5, with the option of playing it on PC a year later ~
While it is indeed an interesting kind of survey, I am afraid the majority of players would be like usual: opting out for the default.
2. just kick/ban people that badly affect your gameplay
3. its just fcking pve, refer to 1. and 2.
If you have details on numbers and such, I am highly interested.
I always wonder if games actually become more expensive because of something like Denuvo. I question the cost there as much as I question costs spent on games being hyped through advertisement. Every Cent spent on advertisement is in my opinion a Cent too much spent, for something which you could put into game developement and proper pay for studio employees in general.
IDK if it still happens because I haven't played counterstrike since source, but they used to get a lot of false-positive bans. I was banned from CS source (VAC ban) at one point when I have never cheated/exploited/glitched in an online game. At the time, I was pretty good at the game even, and took pride in it. Not saying I was a pro or anything, but was good in PUG matches.
That depends on your definition of cheating, While many players (including myself) play the game unmodded, there are a lot of people that run mods, some of which definitely give you information or impact gameplay in a meaningful way that could be construed as cheating.
most cheaters are just modding in items/gear that they would have to grind for which is cheating but doesnt affect your gameplay so how would you know how many cheaters you had in your lobbies and why would anybody even care? if someone is straight up invincible or 1shotting monsters its enough to block them and not deal with them, people doing this are so far in the minority that i have yet to see one in either world or rise
i for example enjoy using stuff like overlays to test out new sets and widen my knowledge of how mechanics in the game work, am i ruining someones gameplay with that? i highly doubt it since how would they know and how exactly does it impact their gameplay?
I don't play CSGO anymore, but I played it for years, and never had an issue. No false positives.
I wasn't super good at the game, but I was definitely above average. I don't really have the twitch reflexes I used to anymore, after getting carpel tunnel surgery done on both my writs, my reaction/response time took a hit. So, it's safe to say I'd suck at competitive shooters if I tried to play them now, so I don't.
This was probably 5+ years before GO even was thought about...
I don't considere edited charms or generated legal items as a banable offense, because it's almost impossible to tell if they are cheating, for me, they just skipping yhe grind and nothing more, but if the do impossible damage or something like that, it's what i call "real cheat" and now i cosidere it as a banable offense, but my point was that in World, i only saw two of what i call "real cheaters", are there more blatant cheaters in Rise ?
