I remember specifically making a blast build back in Iceborne, it was fun in solo but useless in MP. Well probably will be even more fun if I could get another 3 person running the same build but...
I found blast damage in rise by comparison pretty bad though
Maybe if there's multiple players it does more damage. I've only ever played blast solo so I can't be sure either (since the status resistance increasing for each player in multiplayer is always kind of a pain).
Edit: wow you're right. It ticks for 216 on Valstrax and triggers fairly often to boot.
Yeah, so far it seems like Valstrax has a vulnerability to blast damage making the base blast 180 instead of 120. I assume someone's probably made a list somewhere of other monsters that can be similarly exploded.
Honestly wasn't expecting much from the Teostra dual blades since the DBs are blast/ice and the armor skills were hastily assembled to accomdate Blast 3 and Ice 5, but they still pulled off a respectable 7m40s clear on Val.
My bad, Teostra soul is kind weak skill, 20% is really just better than nothing in most situations.
