can I play with my wife?
Basically the title says it all.
Spending 120 just to be able to play the same game with my wife is.... a lot.

So I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to family share and maybe how the online setup works.
If I can't family share with me online in the game, is it possible to log into steam 'offline' and still find a game in monster hunter? Is the lobby system tied to steam? I know there's lobby codes and passwords, so I'm thinking it's possible to get into some without needing to go through steam's systems.

You need two copies of the game to play together.

There are only 2 games that allow you coop on 2 different PCs with just one owning it and this game is neither of them.

Title says "can I play with my wife?"
But by the end of your post it reads more like "can I make it work to pay only once for two people?"

From what I have read family share is supposed to work.

You should not be able to start the game offline with Denuvo. But I have not explored that to give you a certain statement.

The lobby system is definitely tied to Steam. If you can bypass that it will still go through the matchmaking system by Capcom-Steam.

What kinda bothers me most in your post: saying 120 is a lot to play with your wife.
It should be a priceless matter for spending time with your beloved. For everything else, there is MasterCard.

Let me rephrase this.
60 euros is a lot for a game with our income, so buying it twice is a very large investment that we can't afford. So if we can play with just the one copy, Capcom gets money. If not, then they get nothing. As alluring as this game is, there's plenty of other competition that's within our price range and other games right around the corner.

If you can't afford a Lamborghini, buy a Toyota...

Poor wife.
Ferinzz Feb 2, 2022 @ 5:41am
yup.
Because as much as the time with my wife is priceless, the electric company doesn't really take that as a valuable exchange.
She'd still rather a roof over her head than for us to be on the streets.

Yeah well, no, the lobby system is tied to steam community.
Wouldn't recommend playing it with your wife. You kill dragons in this game.

Unfortunately there is no way that you can play with 2 person with a single copy of the game, since the game require steam to be online in order for multiplayer to work. Hope you and your wife will have the finance freedom and leisure to enjoy games in the near future.

yeah. I'm just really frustrate because it's possible to do this with the switch version and their family share setup.

So..... PC not master race.
