Any way to set the item hotbar scrolling only to the scroll wheel?

On MKB, you have to hold CTRL and then scroll to select an item on your item hotbar. That takes too much effort and time, is there any way to make it like MHW and scroll the item bar just with the scroll wheel?

i didn't check how it works for mkb, but you can change this is the in-game options somewhere. the way scrolling through items and the other wheel thing works

under either gameplay or controls there is a option to set default bars for both kbm and controller, set the kbm one to the first one

It's under controls (but not in the keybinds menu): If you scroll down far enough you get scroll options. Option 1 is for basic scrolling which is inexplicably set to action bar by default. Change the setting to item bar.
