Because of how DX12 functions, this is usually caused by something being corrupt in the driver causing shader compilation to go very wrong. If the game runs with your GPU, then odds are good that it's supposed to support it just fine. If this is a regular problem with DX12 games for you, you should try doing a clean install of the driver using DDU and deleting all shader caches that your PC will keep (nvidia has a shader cache that DDU should wipe out, microsoft has a shader cache that can be cleared with the disk cleanup utility, and most games have a shader cache somewhere). If all of them aren't cleared, it's possible that the clean install won't fix the problem.
But yeah, again if the game boots with it, then your GPU supports whatever directx features this game is using and your problem is probably something on your system.
Out of further curiosity, what GPUs are you guys using? Also, if it's a well known issue with your cards, I'd be interested in knowing for my own reference in the future.
According to the crash log anyhow
So, just to be clear, I had zero expectations going into this and assumed it wouldn't run on my old temporary laptop. It's got a GT 650m in it which is okay for 2D stuff but pretty much nothing 3D beyond like 2005.
Anyway, I was surprised it ran at all. Like the person above said, 80% of the assets don't render normally/at all but I did have a teensy spark of hope since it didn't catastrophically crash on me. Maybe it's because the latest drivers for this thing are from 2019? I suspect that's the issue.
I'm not too broken up about since I didn't expect to play it anyway, but it would certainly be nice if something would change come launch!
Been looking forward to play this with some of my old friends, beside, plenty of time till the release
tbh if game doesnt look better than crysis, then it should not demand directx more than 10, ideally
