* After I saved it in windowed borderless 4k, I relaunched the game and it let me change to full screen while still 4K.
Launch game in Windows 8 compatibility mode. This is an awkward fix but it'll work for now.
Open your MHRISE location by right clicking on the game in steam
Go to Manage > Browse local files.
Right Click MonsterHunterRiseDemo.exe
Go to Compatibility tab
Enable compatibility mode and choose Windows 8
If using Linux/ Proton, you can fix this by updating to the experimental branch.
why
1) CPU name & model -Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9500 CPU @ 3.00GHz (6 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
3) Graphics card / chip model and the amount of VRAM- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
4) Video driver version number - 27.21.14.5730
5) System memory size
6) OS version - Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19041) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)

My sistem specs:
Ryzen 5 3600
Nvidia RTX 2070 8gb
16gb ram
Windows 10
ESET antivirus
1) Tried disabling completely anti virus and adding the game to the all possible exclusion lists. (eset internet security)
2) Tried different windows compatibility modes including launching with administrator rights
3) Updated video drivers, restarted too
4) windows 10 up to date
5) Verified steam cache of the game (all files fine)
6) EU, Finland
Intel Core i5-8600K CPU @ 3.60GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB Dual-Channel RAM
EDIT:
Fixed for me. It should help other AV users too. In Eset there's "real-time file system protection" on/off button in "setup" menu from the left. So when you get to the "computer protection" click the gear icon (settings) on the right and click "edit exclusions" and add EXE file of the game, not just the folder but the EXE itself.
Then after that click the gear button on the right of the Host intrusion prevention system. Do the same there. You can find it in "exlusions -- edit"
Worked for me after I added it as exe and not just as a folder.
