The REAL advantage of the PC version

ReShade is gonna make this watered down Gatorade game look crispier than a bag of Cheetos. Monster Hunter Rise looks really washed out and the first thing I wanted when I played on Switch was a Contrast option, you'd have to resort to your TV and the Softness and Saturation settings as well to get that.

Unfortunately that meant when I played on other displays the game always looked really bad so I made a Mockup with ReShade's available features to show what the game could look like without making it look overly vibrant or having the Contrast turn shadows into black blobs.

Honestly if it doesn't end up working I'm getting a refund or just not buying it at all. Cause the game looks omega levels of washed out and I'm not playing it unless it looks somewhat comparable to World. So we'll find out I guess is the answer.

I tend to avoid ReShade in most cases. Fake HDR, oversaturated colors, and forced features like fake ray-tracing aren't my thing, ya dig?

Even if it didn't, everyone and their dog has a Nvidia GPU. Press Alt+F3 and it'll open Nvidia's filter section which has a bunch of options for contrast, saturation, etc. I

Nice I'll have to try this next week on the Demo. See if it works, but ReShade has more available options which is why I refer to that. The added Ambient Occlusion and other various settings could make this game look closer to World.

That's not fog that's discoloration. I mean let's not make excuse for the bad graphics of a Switch game ported to PC lol.
Even World had volumetric fog but it is clear as day the world has no color depth or contrast. That's just Rise in general.

Also, it sounds like youve never seen anything from Rise outside of the Shrine Ruins.

And yes bad coloration, because there's no variety in the textures and colors because it is more open than Monster Hunter World with Switch's limitations which is also why there's texture tiling. Maybe you should stop being so soft.

Shrine Ruins and Bomboo forests. Also, that picture you linked is an edited picture of Sagano Bamboo Forest. It's a tourism photo, and photos like that will have contrast and saturation modified, because of tourism.
The bamboo youre more than likely thinking of being bright and vibrant is not a bamboo native to Japan, more than likely a species of yellow bamboo or other Chinese or African variant. Japan's largest bamboo species is Mosochiku bamboo, which is known for being rather large, but also has muted coloration, usually blues to green grays.
Japanese bamboo forests aren't really know for their color, it's more for the fact theyre full of plants that grow up to a foot a day. So please, go outside or actually look into locations of where games are based upon.
