I mean it's higher res and higher fps, probably. I'm not sure what more you're expecting.

It will at least support higher resolutions and framerate, and may offer marginally better graphics options. It's also a UE4 title, so if you really want to "turn up" graphics settings you can, though that won't necessarily make it look better.
Due to the drastically better CPUs on basically every PC out there than the Switch, loading times will also probably be improved

There is no news if this is running on 60 fps on PC or just stuck at 30, due to limitations of the game engine, wouldn't be the first SQEnix game that couldn't update the FPS due to it breaking the game.

Its UE4, it wouldn't break the game. However there's literally been no info on how this port is handled (ie any upgrades)

Well even how the Unity engine is nowadays it shouldn't break either, but unfortunately some publishers/developers are saying we can't make the PC run at 60+ due to limitations of the engine, which is imo nonsense as it's no longer the same engine as it's made in Unity :) Unless the Unity engine is used as a sort of emulator for the original game.

It'll likely be a 30 FPS and 60 FPS in-game system settings. But since it's UE4, there are ways to limit the FPS to whatever you desire. Tweak the .ini in the game folder located in %localappdata% (use your windows search bar, alternatively the game folder may be located in documents\my games); or just wait for someone to make a .pak mod that you can drag and drop in the game install location.

The solution is simple. Buy a Nintendo Switch, Buy this game, Problem solved and you will never have to worry about PC specs ever again. I have the almighty Skyrim for Switch and haven't regretted my decision on buying the Switch.

I can see portable Skyrim being fun, but most PCs that are less than 5 years old ought to play it better on PC.

I'll be curious how Bravely Default II will be on PC compared to Switch, although portability may be a plus for it on the switch.

I was curious about the same question.

Semi-related: This guy had a great breakdown between the differences of Octopath Traveler on Switch vs PC. Maybe he'll do one for Bravely Default II.

It offers better than Switch quality settings and arbitrary resolutions/framerates

From a quick peek this is a decent port (so better resolution / higher quality graphics, etc) but there don't seem to be any actual in game enhancements that the Switch version missed (like having an actual completed Quest list for example).

This game have got steam cloud?

I mean, if it did a lot of people would be pissed that square gave one port better gameplay for no reason lol

Skyrim? Without mods or VR? No thanks. :lunar2019grinningpig: The difference between Skyrim on the Switch and Skyrim on PC is literally infinite content.

The main reason I look forward to PC ports like these is due to the crazy things coding geniuses can do with them in their spare time that go above and beyond what the original developers ever intended. For example, since Bravely Default 2 runs in UE4, I can't wait to try tweaking this out in VorpX!

This game wouldn't work very well with VorpX, too many fixed camera positions to make it worth while, it will take a while before any meaningful BD2 mods appear
