I can't figure out where to get real player's pictures from.

You can download the Realworld Mod, GM Games Pro Photo Pack and Updated NBA Rosters file to get the closest to real game.

1) Get the Realworld Mod from this page [www.draftdaysports.com]
You can also download the file directly from here [mega.nz]
By the way, it says link removed because it is hosted at MEGA. You can download the one that is listed under "How to Install Steam Version" on the forum page.

2) As the Realworld pack doesn't have all the things you want, you can download GM Games Pro Photo Pack from this page [forums.gmgames.org]
To download the file, you must create an account on the website and make 2 comments on a topic, it is really easy and doesn't take any time really.

3) Now, if you open the game installing these two mods, you will notice that you have everything you wanted in your post but Harden is still on Rockets but wears a Nets jersey because DDS:PB 21 didn't receive a roster update. That's why you might want to download an updated roster file from here [www.draftdaysports.com]

Now you should have a current NBA roster with real world pictures, arenas, jerseys, etc.
